The function is also responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving a library of central shared analytics / automation services, leveraging cutting-edge technologies, algorithms, and methodologies, available for the BUs through a central platform.\nWithin this organization, the AI and Generative AI Development Unit is responsible for the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI solutions.\nYour mission as an AI Developer and Engineer - Team Lead is to build reliable, optimized, and maintainable AI systems, including traditional machine learning models, deep learning architectures, computer vision, NLP, and large language models (LLMs).\nYour main tasks:\nLead the design and development of end-to-end projects.\nCollaborate with stakeholders to define project timelines and ensure appropriate staffing to meet business requirements.\nLead project implementation from proof of concept (PoC) through full development life cycle.\nEstablish and enforce best practices (code standards, MLOps, dataset versioning, etc.) to guarantee scalable, secure, and high-quality AI solutions across all deployments, acting as a reference point at unit level. \nManage and mentor a team of AI developers, fostering skill development, performance excellence, and a collaborative work environment.\nMaster’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.\nSolid background in AI / ML engineering and Process automation algorithms.\nGood knowledge of written and spoken English.\n5+ years of experience.\nProven experience in developing and deploying AI solutions (ML, Deep Learning, NLP, Computer Vision, LLMs).\nStrong programming skills.\nStrong knowledge of Agentic Development.\nExperience with MLOps practices (CI/CD for ML, model versioning, monitoring).\nPractical and theoretical knowledge of at least one cloud platform.\nUnderstanding of data engineering principles and scalable architectures.\nSoft Skills:\nDemonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects.\nStrong communication skills to bridge Data Science and Engineering teams.\nAbility to define best practices and ensure code quality across projects.\nProblem-solving mindset and capacity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.\nAbility to plan and track the activity AI Teams (Confluence and Jira)\nPreferred:\nExperience with statistical / ML models\nPrevious experience in designing reusable AI components\nWhat we offer\nWe offer employment at the Manager level with the relevant salary, in accordance with the CCNL ANIA for non-executive employees and the Generali Group Company Agreement.\nGross annual salary ranging between € 56k and € 70k.
