From vibratory feeders to entire process systems, General Kinematics creates the solutions customers require to process even the most difficult materials.\nWe are currently looking for a qualified Big Fitter to join our team who possesses the knowledge and skills to be responsible for tack welding steel parts to produce a quality weldment. Additionally, this position requires working within a team environment with other areas such as Engineering, Quality, and other areas within Production.\nJob Responsibilities\nComplete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision.\nProduce weldments per drawings using good workmanship practices.\nWorking in conjunction with procedures and drawings determine the fit-up required and complete the operation soundly and without distortion.\nEnsure that all equipment is set up, used and left in a safe and clean manner. Alert Maintenance of any anticipated repair needs.\nEnsure that parts are directed to the appropriate area.\nEnsure proper labeling of all weldments.\nEnsure that all weldments are properly inspected for compliance with all applicable tolerances.\nOperate overhead crane and drive forklift.\nBe aware of the importance of using correct lifting techniques.\nFully support the Company’s ISO objectives, policies, procedures and the GK SCOPE program.\nComply with and participate in training on all safety rules.\nThe willingness and physical ability to work on our equipment which can include climbing ladders, crawling under objects and lifting in excess of 70 pounds.\nThe willingness to work from existing policies and procedures and the ability to build technical knowledge.\nThe ability to resolve routine problems by identifying and analyzing problems logically and comprehensively.\nThe ability to take ownership and show support for workplace initiatives.\nRequirements\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent is required.\nMinimum of one (1) years of wire fed MIG welding experience.\nMust have adequate tools to complete assigned duties.\nSuccessful completion of an internal welding test.\nMechanical aptitude.\nPay: $23.00 to $25.00 hourly. The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation.
