Solutions Engineer

Bank of America - USDC is seeking a Data Scientist to design, build, and maintain document capture applications. The role focuses on developing and managing enterprise-scale machine learning and NLP solutions and pipelines, and collaborating with business partners and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise-scale ML/NLP solutions such as Named Entity Recognition, Document Classification, Document Summarization, and OCR text processing
• Set up supervised & unsupervised learning ML/NLP models including data cleaning, data analytics, feature creation, and model selection
• Manage ML/NLP development pipelines of large, structured, and unstructured data sets
• Collaborate with a diverse set of partners and stakeholders from various lines of business
• Analyze problems, identify issues, and provide effective solutions

Skills

• 7+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or in related roles
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field
• Deep understanding and some exposure to new Gen AI Open-source Models
• At least 5 years of programming experience in software development and Agile processes
• At least 5 years of Python (or equivalent) programming experience to work with ML/NLP models
• At least 2 years of experience in designing and developing enterprise-scale ML/NLP solutions
• Knowledge and hands-on experience working with OCR products
• Master's degree in Computer Science/Data Science, or a related technical field
• Highly motivated, proactive, and a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership
• Critical thinker with the ability to analyze problems, identify issues, and provide solutions
• Ability to navigate the enterprise and data assets across multiple functions
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and balance multiple efforts in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
