core, APIs, and related components;\noptimize data storage and backend systems for throughput, latency, and scalability;\ndrive architectural evolution and manage tech debt in alignment with the product vision;\nhelp keep our system AI-ready and future-proof;\npromote an agentic engineering culture within the engineering team by leading by example. \nWe would like you to have:\n8+ years in software engineering, with a strong backend focus;\ndeep understanding of CS fundamentals (OOP, algorithms, data structures);\nextensive experience with data storages: RDBMS, columnar databases, search engines, and other NoSQL technologies;\nstrong experience with messaging systems;\nproven experience in agentic engineering;\nexpert-level Java/Kotlin skills;\nproven success with system-level refactoring;\nability to detect and resolve performance bottlenecks;\nexperience defining and hitting performance benchmarks;\nquick learner in complex domains;\ninterest in life sciences, data science, and ML/AI applications;\nexcellent communication and collaboration skills;\nfluent in English.\nIt would be nice if you have:\nknowledge of biology and genetics;\nexperience with
