Tax Compliance & Filing\nOversee the preparation and filing of all statutory tax returns, including:\nDirect taxes: corporate income tax, withholding tax\nIndirect taxes: VAT/GST, sales tax, service tax, excise duties\nEnsure timely and accurate submission of tax returns to avoid penalties or interest.\n3. Tax Accounting & Reporting\nReview tax provisions and deferred tax calculations for monthly/quarterly closings.\nSupport preparation of tax disclosures in financial statements in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).\nCollaborate with the Record to Report (R2R) team to ensure proper tax accounting entries.\n4. Audit & Assessment Support\nCoordinate responses to tax audits, assessments, and notices from tax authorities.\nPrepare supporting documentation and manage communication with external auditors and tax advisors.\nMaintain proper documentation for all tax positions and filings to ensure audit readiness.\n5. Tax Risk & Controls Management\nEnsure adherence to internal controls over tax processes (e.g., SOX compliance).\nIdentify tax risks and recommend mitigation strategies.\nMaintain proper segregation of duties and control documentation.\n6. Stakeholder Engagement\nLiaise with internal stakeholders such as finance, legal, and operations teams to support tax compliance and planning.\nCollaborate with external advisors, consultants, or tax authorities as needed.\n7. Process Improvement & Automation\nIdentify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and standardization in tax workflows.\nOptimize the use of tax engines or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to improve efficiency and accuracy.\nMaintain and update SOPs and process documentation.\n8. Tax Planning & Advisory Support\nSupport senior tax managers or corporate tax teams in strategic tax planning initiatives.\nAssist with transfer pricing compliance, intercompany transactions, and cross-border taxation issues.\nKeep abreast of changes in tax legislation and assess potential impacts on the business.\n9.
