Owner of process and 1st technical interface with supplier and engineering\nExperience in Welding (IWE, or similar)\nPerform robust Root Cause Analysis to solve quality issues and prevent reoccurrence\nBe the technical focal point to coordinate Sourcing, Design & Materials Engineering functions while interfacing with suppliers.\nDrive consistency and adherence to quality procedures and specification requirements\nProvide technical guidance to suppliers to assure product/process compliance with engineering drawings and specifications\nWork closely with commercial, engineering and manufacturing teams to eliminate any barriers that may affect the quality and delivery of sourced components\nProvide Sourcing Quality input to Engineering during product design reviews\nConduct 40 supplier on-site visits per year. Close all findings identified with supplier with focus on major findings and timeliness of corrective actions.\nQualification/Requirements\nBachelor’s Degree (Technical Degree preferred).\nStrong background in interpretation of Engineering drawings/specifications, metrology, and manufacturing process planning/evaluation. Must understand GD&T and be able to lead technical design and manufacturing reviews with suppliers.\nBlack Belt certified or equivalent (demonstrated experience). Core competencies of a BB are a must for improving supplier statistical capability, evaluating readiness to serve, including capacity verifications\nProject Management skills\nAuditor ISO 9001:2015\nCertified to lead Supplier Responsibility Guidelines programs for suppliers in “mandatory regions”\nCertified RCA Leader or other proven expertise with formal problem solving (Kepner Tregoe, 8D, Apollo, etc.).\nPainting / coating (Frosio or similar) experience is mandatory, certification preferable\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in metallurgical and/or manufacturing processes.\nMachining process knowledge and 2D technical drawing is a must.\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering / Advanced Technical Degree.\nRelevant years of experience in Supply Chain, Supplier Quality or Engineering\nRelated Power Generation manufacturing experience.\nDemonstrated proactive approach and issue ownership with process orientation.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work in cross-functional and global team environments.\nHighly self-motivated.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility and willingness to travel internationally.
