Job Description

Snowflake Data Engineer - 4B

Primary Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Development

• Develop and maintain Snowflake data pipelines, ELT processes, and data transformation logic.
• Build and optimize SQL-based data models, views, stored procedures, tasks, and streams in Snowflake.
• Develop data ingestion frameworks using Snowpipe, external stages, and cloud storage integrations.
• Support development of ETL/ELT solutions using Python, Snowpark, and orchestration tools.
• Collaborate with business analysts and data consumers to understand reporting and analytics requirements.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks across source and target systems.
• Monitor pipeline executions and troubleshoot data processing issues.

Data Platform Support

• Support Snowflake environment administration activities including access provisioning and object management.
• Implement and maintain development standards, naming conventions, and coding best practices.
• Assist in performance tuning of SQL queries and Snowflake workloads.
• Participate in release deployments and production support activities.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Maintain technical documentation, mapping documents, and operational runbooks.
• Assist in metadata management and data lineage documentation.
• Support data governance initiatives and compliance requirements.
• Participate in on-call support and incident resolution activities.
• Evaluate new Snowflake features and assist in proof-of-concept activities.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4-7 years of Data Engineering experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience.
• Strong SQL development skills.
• Experience with Python and Snowpark.
• Experience with cloud storage platforms (Azure Blob Storage, ADLS, AWS S3).
• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Airflow, or similar orchestration tools.
• Understanding of dimensional modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Knowledge of Git and DevOps practices.
