This position will focus on developing novel lipid nanoparticle formulations for RNA delivery. \nResponsibilities:\nDevelop new lipid nanoparticle formulations (lipid or other polymers) platform for mRNA, DNA, RNA, peptide delivery, to achieve targeted delivery for different disease needs, like neuronal, brain, muscle, bone marrow cell, etc.\nDevelop method for characterizing and evaluating physical characteristics for antibody decorated LNPs.\nProcess development for high throughput LNP preparation and downstream process to improve production efficiency.\nProduce formulations for related RNA projects, supporting functional assays for in vitro evaluation.\nMaintain relationships with customers, participate in scientific meetings or customer meetings.\nWrite study protocols, technical reports, and SOPs to support mRNA product development projects.\nInteract with IP counsel to assist with patent prosecution.\nMonitors supply inventory and identifies any products required.\nMaintains work area, equipment, department and all storage areas in a clean, neat and orderly manner.\nPerform other duties as needed.\nRequirements:\nMaster or PhD's degree in pharmaceutical science, chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering or related field, Master is preferred\nStrong knowledge of lipid and polymeric nanoparticle delivery technologies\n>4 years of relevant experience in nucleic acid delivery with hands-on experience in lipid nanoparticle formulation and characterization\nExtensive experience with production and analytical characterization of nanoparticles\nProficiency in all molecular biology techniques for mRNA and protein expression (RT-PCR, ELISA, Western blot, Flow-cytometry, etc) and RNA-related analytics (ribogreen, gel electrophoresis, capillary electrophoresis, etc).\nWorks collaboratively with team members to support each other\nExcellent communication and problem-solving skills\nA sense of humility and an eagerness to continue to learn and contribute to a supportive team\nBenefit:\nMedical Insurance/ Vision Insurance/ Dental Insurance\n401(k) & Retirement Savings Plan (RSP)\nShort Term Disability Insurance\nNew Child Leave\nPaid Time Off\nPaid Company Holidays per year\nPaid Sick Days (earned based on hours worked)\nCompassionate Leave\nJury Duty Leave\nFloat day\nPersonal days\nPerks: \nFree colleague meals during shift\nOnsite massages Charis\nOnsite gyms\nCompensation:\nSalary range: $90,000 - $110,000 total compensation, including bonus, depending on experience and qualifications.\nBenefits:\nBenefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance as well as a 401(k) retirement plan with a company match that vests fully on day one.
