This role involves executing downstream processing activities including protein purification, characterization, and documentation. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in biochemistry, biotechnology, or a related field, along with hands-on experience in protein purification techniques in a laboratory or manufacturing setting. \nKey Responsibilities: \nPerform protein purification using a variety of chromatography techniques such as affinity, ion exchange, size exclusion, and hydrophobic interaction. \nPrepare buffers and reagents following SOPs and project-specific protocols. \nCharacterize protein products using SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, HPLC, UV spectroscopy, BCA assay, and other analytical methods. \nMaintain accurate, complete, and timelydocumentation of experimental procedures and results. \nTroubleshoot and optimizepurification protocols as needed to improve yield and purity. \nCollaborate closely with upstream, analytical, and quality teams to ensure project timelines and specifications are met. \nAssistin the revision and creation of SOPs, batch records, and technical reports. \nSupport additional tasks and projects as assigned by the department supervisor. \nQualifications: \nBS/MS in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biochemistry or related field with 1+ years of relevant experience in protein purification/characterization. \nFamiliarity with AKTA systems and chromatography software is a strong plus. \nStrong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to detail and data integrity. \nAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. \nExcellent problem-solving and communication skills. \nExperience in a CRO or CDMO setting is preferred. \nBenefits:\nBenefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance as well as a 401(k) retirement plan with a company match that vests fully on day one.
