Degree in Electrical Engineering\nEXPERIENCE:\n8+ years of previous experience with quality concepts, metrics and problem-solving methodologies, including but not limited to Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Auditing, SPC, CAPA processes (internal/supplier/customer), COPQ reduction and program management in a quality or manufacturing role.\nExperience in failure analysis.\nEnvironmental test planning and execution of qualification to MIL-STD-810 desired.\nExtensive experience in the use of the Microsoft Office in the generation of professional documents and Reports, and in the use of Minitab, including DOE and trend analysis.\nLean manufacturing experience desired.\nLean 6-Sigma Green Belt a plus.\nExperience with TipQA® and SAP a plus.\nISO9001:2015 or AS9100:2016 Lead Auditor a desired.\nASME GD&T standards desired.\nABOUT THE JOB!\nThe purpose of the Senior Quality Engineer is to utilize analytical techniques and quality methodologies, to monitor the performance of Gentex products and processes, recommend process improvements and reductions in cost-of-poor-quality (COPQ) and to support the continual improvement efforts of the Gentex Corporation.\nGentex offers a robust benefit package- including, but not limited to, medical coverages, 401k, paid time off and excellent work schedules including a 9/80 work week.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nDesign, implement and evaluate quality assurance processes and sampling techniques, including ownership of our COPQ system.\nDetermination and documentation of incoming test and inspection plans, including sampling plans and Dock-to-Stock/Ship-to-Stock activities.\nAble to review design documentation as it relates to GD&T, compliance testing and make suggestions relating to quality prior to release of products to production.\nLead APQP/Zero Defect Planning.\nSupport NPD and line extension qualification planning and reporting process.\nAssist Manufacturing Engineering in identifying recommended changes to drawings that do not meet incoming requirements.\nAssist Operations with developing Statistical Process Control on critical manufacturing processes.\nWork with all departments to implement process improvements, increase process yields, reduce COPQ, and drive the quarterly continuous improvement meetings\nInterface with customers, internal business teams and suppliers for non-conformance investigations and CAPAs for component rejects, finished goods failures and product returns\nWork with test engineers to support production/manufacturing engineering in implementing new processes/product adjustments to address COPQ\nWork with supply chain to improve quality/delivery of purchase materials, supplier CA and supplier audits.\nSupport Product Compliance (Environmental Compliance, Safety certification, contract flow down).\nSupervise, mentor and lead other quality technical personnel.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:\nKnowledge of electronic and electro-mechanical manufacturing processes (PCB, electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies).\nKnowledge in compliance testing as related to product specifications.\nAbility to interpret customer quality requirements and product drawings, schematics, specifications, etc.\nTeam focused with the ability to participate in and lead cross-function teams.\nProfessional stature with strong oral presentation skills and the ability to influence others.\nKnowledge of AS9102, APQP and PPAP, IPC610, J-STD001 a plus.\nAbility to work with suppliers, tool makers and customers related to visual criteria requirements in critical areas of an assembly.\nTO APPLY:\nVisit: https://gentexcorp.com/careers/\nLOCATION:\nGentex’s Manchester facility is located in southern New Hampshire.
