Applications with incomplete work history or inaccurate dates of employment may be declined.\nPOSITION OVERVIEW\nThe Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining Gentex facilities with integrity and attention to detail, ensuring a clean and safe work environment for employees, customers, and visitors.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nEnsure high standards of cleanliness throughout assigned building, including restrooms, cafeteria break areas and plant offices.\n\nFollow schedule of assigned tasks to be completed daily.\n\nPerform routine indoor and outdoor housekeeping duties, including transporting refuse and recyclables to designated exterior disposal areas in all seasons and weather conditions.\n\nPerform a variety of cleaning activities such as, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting.\n\nMaintain supply levels in responsible areas and restock as needed.\n\nRespond to customer complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.\n\nProvide customer service to all individuals that utilize Gentex facilities.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nHOW YOU’LL DO IT\nTimeliness - Ability to consistently meet attendance and scheduling expectations.\n\nTeamwork - Interacting with teammates in a way that promotes positive, inclusive and productive workplace culture and willingness to help current and new team members.\n\nQuality of Work - Attention to detail in following work instructions, willingness to meet production output/expectations, and limit the number of quality errors including the ability to identify and correct these errors.\n\nMaintaining a high level of honesty, integrity and confidentiality with respect to company matters.\n\nComplying with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace.\n\nWHAT TO BRING\nAbility to work independently and maintain a required level of performance.\n\nBeing customer-oriented and friendly.\n\nExcellent prioritization and time management skills.\n\nAbility to follow and stick to a strict daily schedule.\n\nAbility to work efficiently without compromising quality.\n\nAbility to work indoors and outdoors, as required, including exposure to seasonal weather conditions.\n\nHonest and trustworthy.\n\nMust take ownership in work with a positive attitude which is evident through good attendance, timeliness, and willingness to get involved.\n\nExcellent attention to detail.\n\nMeet the following physical requirements:\nPhysical endurance to cover large building spaces.\n\nComfortable maneuvering in and around furniture and fixtures (such as, but not limited to squatting, twisting, bending and kneeling) while using materials used in custodial work.)\n\nAbility to stand, remain stationary, and/or move about for 8 hours.\n\nMay require repetitive lifting up to 20 lbs.\n\nMay require the safe handling, utilization and disposal of chemicals, including alcohol, acetone, and other common cleaning agents.\n\nMay require frequent and/or repetitive bending, reaching, squatting or otherwise positioning the body.\n\nWHAT WILL HELP\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\n\nCustodial/housekeeping experience.\n\nGood understanding of custodial/housekeeping cleaning materials.\n\n Gentex is an equal opportunity employer\nGentex extends equal employment opportunities to qualified applicants and employees regardless of an individual’s race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), disability, marital status, military service, height, weight, genetic information, or any other reason protected by law.\nAssistance\nGentex is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodation to applicants with disabilities.
