Join a company driven by quality products across an evolving range of industries.\nPOSITION OVERVIEW\nThe Image Quality Tuning Engineer II contributes to the development and improvement of Gentex vision products by creating and executing tests and data collection to define changes for improving image quality for Gentex’s various product lines.\nLocation: This position requires on-site work at Gentex facilities. This role is not eligible for remote work.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nDevelop a practiced understanding of various image signal processing (ISP) pipelines and their supporting tools.\n\nFinetune ISP pipelines to achieve high quality results.\n\nCollaborate with various Software Development teams to implement changes for various ISP pipelines.\n\nCollaborate with stakeholders to meet the unique image quality needs of various product use cases.\n\nContribute to the process of data collection, analysis, and evaluation of results, combining both objective and subjective feedback to drive image quality improvements.\n\nInterface with ISP providers as needed for image quality concerns.\n\nCreate and execute automated and manual testing.\n\nSupport customer feedback and tuning efforts on various programs.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nHOW YOU’LL DO IT\nProblem Solving - Defining a problem, determining the cause, identifying, prioritizing and selecting alternatives for a solution, and implementing a solution.\n\nIndividual Efficiency - Effectively managing time and resources so that individual work is completed efficiently.\n\nQuality Focus - Promoting and maintaining high standards of work, looking for ways to improve products and services, while encouraging coworkers to do so as well.\n\nCommunicating Effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey clear understanding, taking into account the unique needs of different audiences.\n\nNimble Learning - Actively learning through experimentation when tackling new problems, using both successes and failures as learning experiences.\n\nMaintaining a high level of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality with respect to company matters.\n\nComplying with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace.\n\nWHAT TO BRING\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.\n\n2+ years of professional experience involving image quality analysis.\n\nExpertise with scripting and analytical tools such as Python/MATLAB.\n\nExperience in video and photography including camera operation and control.\n\nExperience using version control tools such as GitHub.\n\nExperience with image processing pipelines.\n\nExperience with debugging hardware and software.\n\nProven creativity and strong problem-solving abilities.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.\n\nWHAT WILL HELP\nExperience in Automotive, Aerospace, Fire Protection, or a related industry.\n\nAbility to quickly comprehend and apply new technology.\n\nExperience in software development lifecycle, version control systems (e.g., Git), and agile methodologies.\n\nExperience with signal processing and working with time-series data.\n\nExperience in Linux and software development.\n\nExperience with embedded hardware/software.\n\n Gentex is an equal opportunity employer\nGentex extends equal employment opportunities to qualified applicants and employees regardless of an individual’s race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), disability, marital status, military service, height, weight, genetic information, or any other reason protected by law.\nAssistance\nGentex is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodation to applicants with disabilities.
