Join a company driven by quality products across an evolving range of industries.\nPOSITION OVERVIEW\nThe Senior Payroll Analyst is responsible for supporting and optimizing payroll operations across domestic and international locations. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with federal, state, local, and international regulations, payroll system administration, reporting and analytics, internal controls, and continuous process improvement. This role serves as a key liaison among Human Resources, Accounting, Tax, Benefits, Finance, and external payroll providers.\nThis is an onsite position located in Holland, MI. It is not eligible for hybrid or remote work.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nCoordinate with HR, Benefits, Accounting, and external payroll providers to perform payroll operations across multiple legal entities and countries including the review of payroll registers and detailed variance analysis prior to payroll release.\nValidate earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, bonuses, equity compensation, and fringe benefit reporting.\nSupport year-end payroll activities, including W-2s, T-4s, ROEs, tax reconciliations, and regulatory filings.\nPerform complex payroll calculations, including expatriate assignments, relocation reimbursements, stock compensation, and supplemental earnings.\nEnsure compliance with federal, state, provincial, and international payroll regulations, maintain SOX-compliant payroll controls and documentation, and support internal and external audits.\nMonitor legislative changes impacting payroll tax, wage and hour requirements, and reporting obligations.\nMaintain payroll procedures, narratives, and process documentation.\nAct as a payroll subject matter expert for Workday and related payroll systems by partnering with HRIS and IT teams on payroll enhancements, integrations, testing, and implementation projects.\nIdentify automation opportunities and lead process improvement initiatives.\nSupport payroll-related system upgrades, acquisitions, and global expansion activities, including the implementation of new payroll entities and international payroll requirements.\nDevelop payroll dashboards, metrics, and management reports and perform trend analysis related to labor costs, overtime, payroll taxes, and benefits.\nReconcile payroll accounts with general ledger balances, analyzing payroll-related expenses, and identify risks or unusual trends.\nSupport financial close activities through accurate accruals and account reconciliations.\nLead cross-functional process improvement initiatives, identify automation opportunities, and provide training and guidance to payroll specialists and HR partners.\nOther duties as assigned.\nHOW YOU’LL DO IT\nAnalytical Thinking - Uses data and systematic analysis to identify issues and recommend solutions.\nAttention to Detail - Ensuring information is complete and accurate; following up with others to ensure that agreements and commitments have been fulfilled.\nTechnical Expertise - Demonstrates advanced payroll, tax, and systems knowledge.\nOptimizing Work Processes - Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.\nBuilding Collaborative Relationships - Developing, maintaining, and strengthening partnerships with others inside or outside the organization.\nProblem Solving - Defining a problem, determining the cause, identifying, prioritizing, and selecting alternatives for a solution, and implementing a solution.
