Join a company driven by quality products across an evolving range of industries.\nPOSITION OVERVIEW\nThe purpose of the Supply Chain Analyst I is to maintain the compliance of global import and export supply chains for the organization.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nApplies basic working knowledge of import and export transactions.\nPrepare information for the entry of goods into the United States including Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), Certificate of Origin (COO), value, Incoterms, and descriptions.\nWork with cross functional teams to develop appropriate import rates for new products.\nManage the Free-Trade Agreement (FTA) process from solicitation to completing certificates for OEM’s.\nEnsure timely and accurate response to Brokers and internal customers for imports and exports.\nProvide analytical support for general questions on requests on value, HTS, classification CF28-29 responses.\nMaintain online systems for compliance including ACE, OneSource, and Trade Wizards.\nDevelop online system tools using Business Intelligence (BI) to streamline supply chain activities.\nParticipate and assist in developing Quarterly Business Reviews with brokers.\nAssist with the execution of special projects related to customs matters, import and export procedures.\nOther duties as assigned.\nHOW YOU’LL DO IT\nAttention to detail - Ensuring information is complete and accurate; following up with others to ensure that agreements and commitments have been fulfilled.\nAnalytical thinking - Tackling a problem by using a logical, systematic, and sequential approach.\nCommunicating effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey clear understanding, taking into account the unique needs of different audiences.\nUtilize policies, manuals and desktop procedures in daily activities in accordance with merchandise importation regulations.\nMaintain knowledge of other government agency requirements, such as USDA, FDA, EPA, Lacey Act, AD/CVD and import/export regulations.\nMaintaining high level of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality with respect to company matters.\nComplying with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace. \nWHAT TO BRING\n4-Year degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or other related field.\n1-2 years of experience working in a supply chain environment, including areas of customs compliance such as classification, valuation, assists, country of origin, recordkeeping, C-TPAT, Free Trade Agreements and ISA.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office.\nWHAT WILL HELP\nExperience with trade software products. \n Gentex is an equal opportunity employer\nGentex extends equal employment opportunities to qualified applicants and employees regardless of an individual’s race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), disability, marital status, military service, height, weight, genetic information, or any other reason protected by law.\nAssistance\nGentex is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodation to applicants with disabilities.
