We create fulfilling purpose-driven careers by learning from the world and each other.\nIf you’re looking to build a meaningful career while helping transform the aging experience for millions of families, we’d love to hear from you.\nPOSITION TITLE\nAssociate Accountant\nPOSITION LOCATION\nRichmond VA, Lynchburg VA or Hybrid Work from Home\nYOUR ROLE\nThe position serves as an Associate Accountant that supports withholding tax filings and performs accounting processes for the USLI Closed Block team.\nWhat you will be doing\nPrepares State and Federal tax filings (monthly, quarterly, annually) \nMonitor and reconcile Federal and State withholding payments\nWork with various agencies to resolve tax disputes or discrepancies\nAutomate and maintain existing Account Reconciliations in CERT \nPerforms Quarterly Account Rec preparation and review\nCompletes monthly close processes including journal entries, analysis, balancing and reconciliations\nLeads process improvement initiatives including organizing teams, requirements gathering, solution identification, issue resolution and process implementation\nAssist with accounting discrepancies including providing research and guidance on admin system processes and general ledger \nSupport and complete KPMG and GCAS audit request\nParticipate in special projects and process improvement initiatives \nParticipate as a surge resource as needed\nWhat you bring\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent accounting experience\nProject management and process improvement experience from a functional perspective\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to manage multiple and changing priorities\nAdvanced Technology skills: Excel \nMotivated Team Player\nCOMPENSATION\nDuring the Intake meeting, your Recruiter will discuss legally required pay transparency language with you and insert in the job description\nADDITIONAL\nThis role is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.\nEmployee Benefits & Well-Being\nGenworth|CareScout employees make a difference in people’s lives every day.
