In office days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with working hours targeting our core business hours of 9am-5pm EST.\nYOUR ROLE\nAs an IT team member, you’ll play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing technology solutions that are the foundation of the world-class customer service our customers expect and deserve-now and in the future.\nAs the Lead Platform Architect, Cloud, you will play a critical role in defining how the organization designs and operates infrastructure in the cloud. You will lead the architecture of cloud infrastructure platforms, ensuring they are secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned with enterprise standards.\nYou will partner closely with Engineering, Service Operations, Security, and the Cloud Platform Team to establish clear patterns and guardrails that enable teams to move faster while maintaining consistency across the environment.\nThis role, working on the Infrastructure Platform Architecture team and reporting to the Director of Platform Architecture, will participate in the development of the overall IT strategy that guides the adoption, deployment, and realization of technologies, services, and capabilities implemented in support of the business strategy.\nWHAT YOU WILL BE DOING\nParticipates in the Enterprise Architecture group that is responsible for defining and maintaining product and architectural standards for technology services\nDefine and maintain enterprise cloud infrastructure architecture, including:\nLanding zones and shared services\nEnvironment design and segmentation\nIntegration with enterprise network and identity platforms\nDevelop and document cloud infrastructure reference architectures and reusable patterns\nLead design for complex, cross-tower initiatives involving cloud, network, identity, and operations\nEnsure cloud designs are scalable, resilient, and aligned to business needs and enterprise standards\nPartner with Network, Identity, Datacenter, and Security architects to ensure end-to-end infrastructure cohesion\nDefine cloud connectivity patterns (hybrid, multi-region, SaaS integration)\nEnsure alignment between cloud architecture and enterprise infrastructure strategy\nEvaluate and guide workload placement decisions across cloud and on-prem environments\nPromote reusable, automated infrastructure patterns instead of one-off builds\nPartner with Engineering teams to improve platform usability and developer experience\nMentor engineers and architects on cloud infrastructure best practices\nWHAT YOU BRING\n5+ years of experience as an architect\n10+ years of experience in IT\n5+ years of experience in cloud technologies (AWS and Azure) with a proven record of leading implementation of those technologies\nStrong experience with public cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)\nExperience designing and implementing enterprise-scale infrastructure architectures\nDeep understanding of:\nCloud infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS)\nNetworking (routing, segmentation, hybrid connectivity)\nIdentity and access management concepts\nFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code\nExperience in hybrid cloud and datacenter integration\nFamiliarity with Zero Trust architecture principles\nExperience working in a regulated enterprise environment (financial services, insurance, etc.)\nEmployee Benefits & Well-Being\nGenworth employees make a difference in people’s lives every day.
