This individual will combine strong technical expertise with business development capabilities and proven leadership skills to strengthen the team, expand client relationships, and position the Division for sustainable growth.\nThis is a high-impact, highly visible leadership role. You will serve as the Division's senior technical authority on major pursuits, provide strategic direction and mentorship to a strong team of engineers, and play a central role in developing new business opportunities, strengthening client partnerships, and driving revenue growth.\nKey Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development\nProvide day-to-day leadership, mentorship, and technical direction to the Consulting Division\nIdentify and help close staffing gaps (senior PMs/PEs, junior engineers) to build a sustainable team\nChampion consistent use of internal processes and systems (CRM/BD tracking, project workflows, quality standards)\nCreate, sustain, and support an environment that makes the division a great place to work\nCollaborate with other Geocomp Divisions (GTX Lab, I&M, Products) to grow opportunities for employees\nBusiness Development\nOversee and coordinate efforts with our Business Development team to build and maintain strong sales pipelines and forecasts\nHelp manage and grow client relationships as an integral part of the growth strategy\nHelp develop pursuit strategies and oversee preparation of proposals and bids, in collaboration with other offices\nOversee and manage completion of projects to client satisfaction while procuring new work to grow the division\nServe as the senior technical signature on proposals for complex, high-stakes projects\nDrive new client relationships and revenue growth for the Consulting Division\nTechnical & Client Delivery\nManage project teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget, meeting or exceeding client expectations across the active project portfolio\nSupervise and coordinate staff on specific projects to align client needs with Geocomp resource allocation\nEnsure deliverables are provided on time and within scope and budget\nAssemble and manage project teams for each assignment to optimize results\nLead management of relationships with clients, contractors, officials, and other stakeholders in collaboration with our Business Development and project delivery teams\nPromote positive, effective health and safety practices and ensure standards are met\nHelp achieve strategic objectives around best practices, effective project management, and active risk management\nQualifications\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license - Geotechnical or Geostructural background required\nMS in Civil Engineering (geotechnical or structural emphasis) preferred, or equivalent applicable experience\n8+ years of experience with geotechnical consulting projects\nDemonstrated success in both business development/sales and project management\nStrong leadership capabilities and a team-player mindset\nExcellent communication skills, including experience delivering technical and business presentations\nBenefits Package\nBase salary: $145,000 - $165,000 per year (Final compensation based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity)\n401(k) with company match\nComprehensive health insurance\nHealth savings account (HSA)\nPaid time off (PTO)\nProfessional development assistance\nEmployee referral program\nOur Hiring Process\nAt Geocomp, we are committed to delivering a respectful, inclusive, and transparent recruitment experience.\nDue to the high volume of applications we receive, we may not be able to provide individual feedback to every applicant.
