Thoroughly tests software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. Documents all problems and works to resolve them; reports progress on problem resolution to management. Devises improvements to current procedures and recommends quality improvements.\nTHIS IS A HYBRID POSITION. CANDIDATE MUST COME TO WORK AT CORPORATE OFFICE IN PALM HARBOR, FL. 3 DAYS A WEEK.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nTest all software releases from development department.\nAbility to test multiple software projects concurrently.\nDocument and track all software defects.\nCreate Test Cases and Test Scripts.\nEvaluation and assignment of all trouble tickets to development team members.\nReview and assist development in the creation of Release Notes.\nDepending on project size, may be required to be on multiple Team/Projects. \nAdhere to company policies.\nConduct to reflect professional attitude and actions.\nOther duties and special projects as assigned.\nRequirements\nWork Experience / Knowledge:\nAbility to become familiar with testing tools.\nProficient in functionality of assigned projects and PC skills.\nAbility to use analytical skills while doing test project planning and executing those test projects.\nSufficient application knowledge to navigate and perform basic functionality of a single software application.\nAbility to seek appropriate resources or mentors on projects.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, which are used with team members and clients in the form of formal training, mentoring, and presentations.\nWork with developers and DBAs on test projects.\nUtilization of defect tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla, Quality Center, etc).\nQualifications / Certifications:\nAssociate’s degree\n5 years of Software testing experience\nOr, Equivalent combination of education and experience\nAdditional Requirements:\nTesting methodologies and theory\nMicrosoft SQL server\nWindows Operating Systems knowledge\nMicrosoft Office proficiency\nInternet Technologies\nDevelopment defect tracking tools\nSoftware life cycle knowledge\nWeb-based applications\nLabor Market Information & National Employment Systems\nEqual Opportunity Employer.
