Position is responsible for the set up and operation of equipment which blends/mixes/packages/transports liquid or dry chemicals that comprise our customer’s products.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nSets up, starts, and runs all machinery, checking all controls for adherence to operating/safety procedures and ISO standards.\n\nWeighs ingredients to meet recipe specification and inserts into machinery, or ensures the correct ingredients are delivered to the work area and inserts pre-blended materials in machinery.\n\nMonitors production and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Troubleshoots equipment and processing issues.\n\nOperates machinery to mix, extrude/discharge or handle materials according to operating procedures.\n\nExamines materials visually or physically to ensure conformance with established standards.\n\nMay take samples of materials to lab for evaluation and instructions on any batch adjustments if needed.\n\nRefers issues/problems to Production Supervisor for disposition.\n\nPerforms all required machine cleaning.\n\nCompletes and mains all required system inputs/transactions. Responsible for data integrity.\n\nDocuments work completed as required including logs, data reports, procedures, etc.\n\nParticipates in training, retraining and continual improvement processes and methods.\n\nFollow and complies with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintains departmental housekeeping standards.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nConditions\nWork in plant floor environment. Temperature conditions can vary significantly. Work 8 hour shifts. This is a production associate position which may progress to Senior Operator with skill verification by passing written test/field verification. Must stand or walk most of work time. Job duties range from manual labor, to troubleshooting, and use of computerized equipment. Use of heavy motorized equipment including but not limited to fork trucks.
