This role serves as a key link between production employees and management by promoting accountability, teamwork, communication, and a culture of continuous improvement.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities:\nProduction Operation\nPlan, organize, and supervise daily fabrication activities to meet production schedules, quality requirements, and customer expectations.\nAssign work, establish priorities, and coordinate labor, equipment, and resources to achieve departmental objectives.\nDevelop production plans and adjust resources to support customer demand while maximizing operational efficiency.\nMonitor production performance, labor utilization, workflow efficiency, and productivity metrics.\nEnsure fabrication labor hours, production data, and required documentation are accurately completed.\nEnsure fabrication equipment is operated safely and efficiently and that preventive maintenance activities are completed according to established schedules.\nMaintain organized, clean, and efficient work areas consistent with 5S/6S principles.\nIdentify operational challenges and implement solutions to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.\nCommunicate production priorities, performance updates, and operational concerns to management and team members.\nQuality & Process Control\nEnsure fabricated products meet established quality standards, engineering requirements, and customer specifications.\n\nMaintain accurate quality records and documentation to support product traceability and compliance requirements.\n\nOversee inspections and quality testing associated with fabrication processes, including welded assemblies, thermofusion assemblies, solvent-cemented systems, and related manufacturing activities.\n\nPartner with Quality personnel to investigate defects, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.\n\nEnsure employees follow documented procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements.\n\nSupport the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company Quality Management System.\n\nLeadership & Employee Development\nProvide daily leadership, coaching, and direction to fabrication employees to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and performance expectations.\n\nTrain, mentor, and develop employees to improve technical skills, process knowledge, and overall performance.\n\nAssign work, monitor employee performance, and ensure appropriate staffing and skill levels within the department.\n\nEstablish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.\n\nConduct regular team communications to align employees on priorities, expectations, and operational goals.\n\nFoster a culture of accountability, teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement.\n\nAddress employee performance concerns through coaching, counseling, and corrective action when appropriate.\n\nPromote employee engagement and ownership of safety, quality, and operational results.\n\nContinuous Improvement & Operational Excellence\nIdentify opportunities to improve fabrication processes, reduce waste, increase productivity, and improve efficiency.\n\nSupport Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including process improvement activities, 5S/6S implementation, and problem-solving efforts.\n\nDevelop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and best practices.\n\nParticipate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.\n\nMonitor process performance and recommend improvements related to equipment, workflow, staffing, and facility utilization.\n\nParticipate in internal and external audits and support timely resolution of audit findings.\n\nMaintain compliance with GF corporate standards related to safety, quality, and risk management.\n\nSafety, Compliance & Environmental Responsibility\nEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations, ISO standards, company safety policies, and established operating procedures.\n\nPromote a culture where safety is the highest priority.\n\nConduct safety observations, support safety training, and address unsafe conditions or behaviors.\n\nSupport Environmental Management System (EMS) initiatives and sustainability efforts.\n\nEnsure employees properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).\n\nMaintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.\n\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nAbility to analyze manufacturing metrics and develop action plans.\nExperience improving manufacturing efficiency, throughput, and productivity.\nKnowledge of production scheduling and capacity planning.\nStrong leadership and conflict resolution skills.\nAbility to influence organizational change.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.\nProfessional verbal, written, and presentation skills.\nStrong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.\nDemonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams in a manufacturing environment.\nProven experience building a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.\nStrong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, motivate, and develop employees at all levels of the organization.\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nTechnical training, vocational certification, associate degree, or college coursework in manufacturing, industrial operations, or related field preferred.\nMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial operations.\nPrevious supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.\nExperience with industrial equipment, fabrication processes, welding operations, and quality control systems.\nExperience implementing process improvements or Lean Manufacturing initiatives preferred.\nSAP or ERP system experience strongly preferred.\nWorking Conditions / Physical Requirements:\nPosition is primarily in-office and requires regular attendance at the assigned office location.\nPrimarily works in a fabrication facility with regular exposure to production areas.\nFrequent interaction with manufacturing personnel, warehouse staff, and office employees.\nAbility to walk the production floor and stand for extended periods as needed.\nMay occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.\nMust be able to work in an environment with varying temperatures, machinery noise, and moving equipment while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).\nOccasional travel to suppliers, customers, training, or company facilities.\nOccasional overtime or schedule flexibility may be required to support
