Work with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment to assure quality welding.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities:\nReads and interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding processes.\nPlans details of the work order procedures including gathering the required tools and materials based on instructions provided for the job.\nPrepares, assembles and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.\nRepairs and fabricates various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment meeting all production and quality standards and requirements.\nMonitors the welding, cutting and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion or shrinkage.\nMaintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.\nNotifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.\nEnsure all guards and safety equipment have been installed and properly checked\nAdhere to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHA 18001 Certification requirements\nRequired to understand and follow all safety policies and procedures\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nThorough understanding of machines, principles, and tools used for welding including design, use, maintenance and repair.\nMust have the ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints\nBasic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models and blueprints.\nMust have a high level of attention to detail for quality welds\nBasic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments.\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n1-3 years of practical welding experience\nMust be able to demonstrate the ability to successfully pass a weld certification test within the first six (6) moths of employment. The timing of the certification test will be determined by management based on ability demonstrated.
