This position administers EHS systems, compliance programs, audits, training initiatives, risk reduction projects, and data analytics to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, safety, and transportation regulations.\nThe role serves as a key resource to site leadership by providing technical expertise, project management support, and operational risk management solutions that promote a safe, compliant, and sustainable workplace.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:\nManage the maintenance, and continuous improvement of EHS, Fleet Safety, and Contractor Management programs and systems.\nSupport and advise site leadership regarding EHS management systems, fleet safety requirements, contractor compliance, and risk management initiatives.\nAdminister EHS software platforms, fleet safety systems, contractor management systems, and project tracking tools.\nMaintain compliance records, reporting metrics, audit documentation, corrective action tracking, and regulatory reporting requirements.\nCoordinate safety, environmental, fleet, and contractor compliance audits and assessments.\nTrack regulatory changes and communicate impacts EHS leadership.\nProvide technical EHS support and guidance to production, transportation, maintenance, and operational personnel.\nDevelop and implement EHS management system initiatives and improvement projects.\nManage EHS-related projects and provide project management support across corporate and site operations.\nMaintain corporate EHS, Fleet Safety, and Contractor Management document libraries, including training materials, procedures, regulations, and reference resources.\nCoordinate, conduct, and maintain records for EHS compliance training programs.\nReview operational procedures and processes to identify risks and recommend corrective actions and improvements.\nAnalyze safety, transportation, incident, audit, and compliance data to identify trends and develop actionable recommendations.\nAudit management systems, practices, and records to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.\nSupport incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nMonitor and assist with fleet liability management, claims tracking, and associated expenditures.\nEnsure EHS considerations are integrated into both EHS and non-EHS projects to reduce organizational risk and improve compliance.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nThis position will not have supervisory responsibility.\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE\nRequiredAssociate degree in Business, Engineering, Science, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field and 3+ years of EHS, fleet safety, compliance, or operational risk management experience; or\n5+ years of progressively responsible experience in environmental, health, safety, transportation safety, compliance, operational risk management, or equivalent.\nStrong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, hazard communication, incident investigation, contractor safety, and safety training methodologies.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and database management systems.\nExperience administering compliance management systems and maintaining regulatory records.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret trends and translate data into actionable recommendations.\nStrong project management, organizational, communication, and change management skills.\n\n PreferredAssociate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or equivalent professional certification.\nExperience in poultry, food manufacturing, agriculture, transportation, or related industries.\nExperience managing fleet safety and contractor management programs.\nBilingual skills.\n\nGeorge’s is committed to providing reasonable accommodation to, among others, individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans.
