This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing various automation systems, including PLCs, HMI interfaces, and SCADA systems. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in industrial automation and possess a strong understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of the poultry processing industry.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:\nMaintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated systems and equipment, including PLCs, HMI systems, and SCADA systems.\nImplement and support automation projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.\nAnalyze system performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.\nCollaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to enhance system reliability and efficiency.\nTrain and mentor junior technicians and operators on automation best practices.\nMaintain documentation related to system configurations, repairs, and maintenance activities.\nEnsure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards within the plant.\nStay current with industry trends and advancements in automation technology to recommend improvements.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nThis position will not have supervisory responsibility.\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE\n RequiredBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in automation and control systems within an industrial environment, preferably in the food processing or poultry industry.\nStrong knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI/SCADA systems.\n\n Preferred\nPrevious leadership/supervisory experience.\nGeorge’s is committed to providing reasonable accommodation to, among others, individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans.
