The Occupational Maintenance Technician will also be responsible for performing preventative maintenance tasks on all equipment in the assigned area. The Occupational Maintenance Technician is required to work with all types of hand tools, powered tools, lifts, welding/cutting tools, fabrication tools, compressors, food processing equipment, high voltage equipment, etc.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:\nPerform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance in assigned area.\nTroubleshoot mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment used in the facility.\nPerform repairs and equipment installation/removal in an efficient manner.\nMaintain good housekeeping at workstations and work areas.\nRespond to plant emergencies including Haz-Mat incidents, equipment malfunction, fires, severe weather, etc. as directed by supervision.\nLock out / tag out certification.\nComplete daily maintenance paperwork for assigned work orders/requests and checklists.\nSpecial projects/duties as assigned by maintenance supervisor or manager.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nThis position will not have supervisory responsibility.\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE\nRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent AND 2+ years of experience in machine maintenance, building maintenance, preventative maintenance, carpentry, electrical, heating and cooling systems, plumbing and/or electrical\nBasic welding experience\nAble to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics\nHave or obtain tools needed to perform the above tasks\nOperational knowledge of common hand, power, and industrial tools\nValid Driver’s License\n\n PreferredExperience in pneumatics, hydraulics\n\nGeorge’s is committed to providing reasonable accommodation to, among others, individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans.
