Assure monitoring instruments, i.e., thermometers, etc. are accurately calibrated.\nProvide verification services in the areas of receiving, storage of ingredients, packaging and raw materials, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), net weights, proper labeling, quality characteristics. Verification may include additional monitoring as a verification step.\nMaintain records, processes, procedures including responsibility for data entry of specific quality-related information.\nEffectively communicate inspection findings and observations.\nSuspend production upon discovery of improper insanitary conditions, out of control, or if positive control in question.\nRetain product that does not conform to USDA, George’s, or customer requirements.\nFollow all safety rules and practices.\nLevel II is met upon 1 year in role and fully trained in all areas.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nThis position will not have supervisory responsibility.\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE\nRequired\nNone\nPreferred\nKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) through the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)\nUnderstanding/knowledge of HAACP principles.\nExperience with 3rd party Food Safety Audits.\nGeorge’s is committed to providing reasonable accommodation to, among others, individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans.
