This will include the training and supervision of staff, maintenance of facility, housekeeping, safety and regulatory compliance of the building, grounds, and treatment facility. The Wastewater Supervisor will gather and submit samples in compliance with Environment Protection Agency (EPA) regulations. This position will ensure documentation is in place and up to date per George’s policy and local, state and federal agencies.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:\nProvide oversight of wastewater function in the plant.\nMaintain working relationship with state and local agencies as required for wastewater treatment.\nPerform tests as required to treat water properly.\nTrain personnel in best practices for keeping water in compliance with city and state requirements.\nResponsible for the continued growth and development of all members of the department, ensuring those identified as back-ups for key positions.\nKeep accurate records and ensure documentation is in place and up to date.\nSubmit required paperwork to local agencies monthly.\nGather and submit water samples as required to comply with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations.\nEnsure safety rules and requirements are followed.\nSupervise cleaning and maintenance of wastewater.\nParticipate and conduct wastewater facility third party and regulatory audits.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nThis position will have supervisory responsibility.\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE\nRequired1-2 years of experience in wastewater operations in progressively responsible positions OR Bachelor’s Degree in a related field\nThe ability to demonstrate proper working knowledge of biological wastewater treatment systems\nBasic computer knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite\nStrong communication skills, both verbal and written\n\n PreferredPoultry production or manufacturing experience\nVocational/Technical Certification and/or Licensure\nPrevious Leadership or supervisory experience\n\nGeorge’s is committed to providing reasonable accommodation to, among others, individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans.
