In addition, this position is responsible for process, and quality standards associated with packaging. This position is required to maintain accurate and legible production reports. Taking of quality samples, performing quality measurements and assuring adherence to quality standards. Operators are expected to be active in our continuous improvement program to help make the business more successful.\nResponsibilities:\nOperates all packaging equipment by following company procedures\n\nMaintains quality standards\n\nAccurately labels all products\n\nMaintains accurate production paperwork to avoid Order Rejects\n\nChanges reels and/or carts as required by following written procedures\n\nMaintains communications with lead and supervisor\n\nPerforms all tasks in a safe manner\n\nCuts samples as required by written procedures\n\nDisposes scrap properly\n\nMaintain work area by keeping all tools and equipment in designated areas\n\nMaintaining the 5’s standards in their area.\n\nPerforms required set-up of all recoil equipment\n\nContinually seeks out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in lean initiatives.\n\nRequirements:\nHigh school education or equivalent is required.\n\nGood math skills are required, including familiarity with the metric system.\n\nBasic computer skills are required.\n\nBasic mechanical and technical skills are required.\n\nMust be able to problem solve, multitask/prioritize and pay attention to detail.\n\nMust be able to work a 12-hour shift.\n\nManufacturing experience of 1-3 years is preferred but not required.\n\nDisclaimers:\nApplicable to US job postings only (not Canada): The expected compensation range for this position is $20.50-$27.22/hour.
