This role uses customer and market insights, business performance data, and cross-functional collaboration to identify growth opportunities, optimize the product portfolio, and support new product development and launches.\nPartners with Global Product Management and key business functions to ensure regional priorities are aligned with global product strategies while driving revenue, profitability, and long-term portfolio performance.\nThis role is considered a HYBRID position with periodic onsite work at our headquarters in Apple Valley, Minnesota.\nWhat will you be doing?\nProduct Strategy & Portfolio Management\nOwn the regional product portfolio and manage the full product lifecycle.\nDevelop regional product strategies aligned with global category objectives.\nIdentify growth opportunities through customer insights, competitive intelligence, and market analysis.\nRecommend portfolio expansion, rationalization, and product enhancements.\nDevelop and support business cases for new products and product enhancements.\nProvide North American market input into the global product roadmap.\nCommercial Performance & Financial Ownership\nMonitor product sales, margin, profitability, pricing, warranty trends, inventory performance, and market share.\nAnalyze financial and operational performance to identify opportunities and risks.\nDevelop pricing recommendations and support execution of pricing strategies.\nDrive actions to improve revenue, profitability, and overall portfolio performance.\nCustomer & Market Intelligence\nServe as the Voice of the Customer for assigned product categories.\nGather customer and market insights through customer visits, field observations, distributor engagement, and other VOC activities.\nMonitor industry trends, codes and standards, competitive activity, and emerging technologies.\nTranslate customer and market insights into product improvements and future innovation opportunities.\nCross-Functional Leadership\nPartner with Global Product Management to align regional priorities with long-term product strategies.\nCollaborate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Sales, Product Marketing, Finance, and Customer Service to advance product and business priorities.\nSupport new product development through the Stage Gate process.\nCoordinate cross-functional readiness for successful product launches.\nInfluence stakeholders and drive initiatives without direct authority.\nBusiness Planning & Product Support\nMaintain product performance dashboards and portfolio reporting.\nSupport business planning, forecasting, and portfolio performance reviews.\nDevelop product documentation and business recommendations to support decision-making.\nParticipate in strategic planning initiatives across the product organization.\nWhat will you need?\n5-10 years of progressive experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, Category Management, Engineering, or Industrial Sales.\nExperience managing technical product portfolios in a B2B manufacturing environment.\nExperience supporting product launches and product lifecycle management.\nBuilding products, plumbing, HVAC, hydronics, mechanical systems, or industrial manufacturing experience preferred.\nAbility to travel up to 20% annually\nWhat will you get?\nBest-in-class health benefits (medical, dental, vision)\n160 hours paid time off (combination of PTO and Employee Safe and Sick Time accruals- MN Based Employees) \nFor more information: https://www.uponorcareers.com/en-us/employee-benefits\nDisclaimers\nApplicable to US job postings only (not Canada): The expected compensation range for this position is $88,298-$132,447/year.
