This position will report to the Practical Nursing Program Administrator. The PN Adjunct Instructor is responsible for presenting instruction in clinical subject areas. If assigned as a clinical adjunct, present instruction and maintain visibility to students in the clinical setting. This position requires an on-campus work environment presence and does not offer a telework option.\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nCollaborates with faculty to meet the needs of the students\nProvides a variety of learning experiences consistent with the program mission, philosophy and nursing education outcomes\nImplements, operates, and participates in clinical activities to guarantee a high quality, safe, and consistent clinical experience\nProficiency in MS software applications including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as Internet and database applications\nActively participates in departmental committees\nDemonstrates effective working relationships with individuals and groups\nActively participate in professional development\nOther duties assigned.\nCompetencies:\nKnowledge of the Georgia Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act\nKnowledge of and commitment to the role of the technical college system\nCommitment to stay current and continually improve knowledge and understanding of the discipline\nCommitment to diversity, equity and inclusion\nSkill to make timely decisions\nSkill in the operation of computers and job related software programs\nDecision making and problem solving skills\nSkill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public\nThorough knowledge and understanding of protocol, procedures, and standards within area of clinical nursing expertise.\nAbility to plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care programs.\nHighly developed verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present effectively to small and large groups.\nStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMust be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Georgia\nBe in good standing from the initial date of employment as a registered professional nurse.\nExcellent written and oral communication skills, and excellent technology skills\nHave the expertise and professional development necessary to enable the goals/outcomes of the curriculum\nBLS through American Heart Association\nPreferred Qualifications:\nHold both a current Georgia and Tennessee license or be eligible for licensure in Georgia and Tennessee.\nBSN\nComputer knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Office \nRecent experience in the clinical setting\n\nPhysical Demands:\nWork is typically performed in a classroom or office environment with intermittent sitting, standing, or walking in various settings.
