This role sits where accounting meets operations. You will be the person who makes the project economics visible, trustworthy, and actionable for Project Managers and finance leadership.\nThis is a role for someone who treats a number as a question to be answered, not a figure to be filed. You will hold the ledger to a standard that makes it auditable, and you will use it to help Project Managers see margin erosion while there is still time to act.\nWhat You Will Own\nJob cost integrity. You own the reconciliation of labor, materials, and subcontractor costs across your active jobs. Every dollar should trace back to its source, and every variance should have an explanation.\nBilling and contract alignment. You own timely, accurate project billings that match contract terms. Billing errors are margin errors, and you treat them that way.\nRevenue and forecast partnership. You work directly with Project Managers on revenue recognition, work-in-progress, cost-to-complete estimates, and margin projections. Your forecasts should change decisions, not just describe outcomes.\nChange order control. You track change orders from field to ledger and pursue unsubmitted work so that revenue earned in the field is recovered in billing.\nAudit-ready financials. You keep project financials accurate, auditable, and compliant with accounting policy, so that they hold up to internal review, external audit, and leadership scrutiny.\nProcess and systems improvement. You identify where project accounting is manual, slow, or fragile, and you design and implement the improvement. Experience with Viewpoint Vista ERP is a strong advantage here.\nCross-functional partnership. You serve as a trusted partner to field teams, finance leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders, translating complex job financials into clear, usable guidance.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\n2+ years of accounting experience (GL, cost, or project-based preferred).\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel.\nStrong attention to detail, time management, and critical thinking.\nComfort collaborating across teams, including operations and project leaders.\nWillingness to learn project accounting concepts such as WIP, change orders, and forecasting.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in construction, engineering, or other project-driven industries.\nFamiliarity with Viewpoint Vista ERP.\nExposure to job costing, billing, or revenue recognition.\nA clear interest in growing into a business-partnering or forecasting role.\nUS pay range for this role.\n$75,000—$90,000 USD\nSoil Nail Holdings and its subsidiaries are equal opportunity employers.
