Non-conforming conditions, identified during the inspection and testing process shall be identified, documented, and dispositioned in accordance with established processes/procedures.\nPrincipal Responsibilities\n Possesses and applies a comprehensive body of knowledge to the timely and high-quality completion of assigned tasks.\nPerform in field inspections at various project locations by examining equipment and material for required characteristics (e.g., dimensional inspection, materials of construction) specified in the inspection plans and procurement documents.\nDocument inspections using the Inspection Report Template.\nReport programmatic deficiencies as Conditions Adverse to Quality (CAQ), as appropriate.\nBe familiar with the scope and limitations of each discipline for which the individual is certified.\nInterpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, drawings, and specifications.\nEducation and Licensure\nEducation and Licensure Requirements\nAt a minimum, the following combination of education and experience is required.\nA high school or GED diploma with three (3) years related experience in equivalent inspection or testing activities; or\nAn associate’s degree in a related discipline plus one (1) year of related experience in equivalent inspection or testing activities; or\nA bachelor’s degree plus six (6) months of related experience in equivalent inspection or testing activities.\nSkills, Experience and Qualifications\nRequired Skills, Experience, and Qualifications\nDue to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance.
