We offer competitive pay and benefits, and well-being programs to support you and your family.\nTo Learn More Visit: http://www.geosyntec.com/careers/.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nDevelop and maintain safety basis documents and safety basis program procedures.\nWith minimal supervision, perform hazard analyses of nuclear operations, define functional specifications, and recommend credited controls to mitigate unacceptable hazards.\nDevelop a portion or section of an analysis or nuclear safety review.\nAssist in the generation of accident analysis and engineering data.\nAssist in the preparation of reports and correspondence.\nIdentify and describe the interrelationship of safety basis requirements to existing and new designs and operations.\nDevelop, maintain, and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.\nInterface with customers in nuclear safety reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements.\nVerify and comply with engineering documentation standards and nuclear safety procedures.\nMentor Junior Nuclear Safety Analysts in Safety Basis development and maintenance.\nEnsure the product and service quality meets customer’s requirements and expectations.\nPerform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.\nEducation and Licensure\nBachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or similar field.\nSkills, Experience and Qualifications\nREQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:\n5+ years of experience in chemical or nuclear facilities. \nWorking level knowledge of applicable codes and standards. \nWorking knowledge of systems engineering processes and principles for requirementes definition, flow down, and verification. \nWorking knowledge and application of appropriate QA requirements such as NQA-1 to design, procurement, construction, and/or acceptance testing. \nDesign Engineering Experience consisting of demonstrated performance in facility/process and utility systems and equipment designs e.g., drawings, calculations, design changes, and testing.\n\nEngineering Oversight Experience consisting of demonstrated performance in Chemical/Nuclear Facility 30%, 60%, 90% design reviews and engineering processes programmatic reviews. \nSafety Basis Documents Experience consisting of demonstrated performance and understanding of hazard analysis, documented safety analysis, technical safety requirements, fire hazard analysis, criticality safety analysis, etc.\n\nDemonstrated oral and written communication skills\nDue to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship. (required)\nDue to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance. (required)\nHealth & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing.
