If you do not have a HS Diploma or GED, you will need to successfully pass an entrance exam.\nAbility to work a Dupont 4/3, rotating 12-hr schedule including days, nights, & two weekends a month.\nProficiency in heavy mobile equipment operation.\nBasic Computer skills.\nAble to lift up to 50lbs.\nGeneral math skills, advanced problem-solving, and ability to multi-task.\nYour Purpose: \nTo maintain safety, proper equipment operation, and housekeeping. To assist in the loading of outbound trucks and rail cars as well as working alongside finishing operations to for mill operations.\nYour Work: \nWork safely in a very fast-paced, inside shipping environment.\nFollow all safety rules and regulations for the plant and area.\nRoutine tasks that are physical in nature including, but not limited to: lifting, walking, climbing steps, etc.\nOperate overhead cranes, heavy duty forklift, and tractor trailer to transport material between warehouses on Gerdau site. (No CDL required).\nBasic computer skills.\nAssist in loading outbound truck and rail shipments.\nAssisting mill catching production.\nComplete pre-use inspections on equipment.\nOperate handheld scanner.\nCleaning as instructed & general housekeeping duties.\nInspect finished product per procedure.\nCrosstrain at next promotion level position.
