To assist in the loading of outbound trucks and rail cars as well as working alongside finishing operations to for mill operations.\nYour Work: \nWork safely in a very fast-paced shipping environment.\nFollow all safety rules and regulations for the plant and area.\nRoutine tasks that are physical in nature including, but not limited to: lifting, walking, climbing steps, etc.\nOperate overhead cranes, heavy duty forklift, and tractor trailer to transport material between warehouses on Gerdau site. (No CDL required).\nBasic computer skills.\nAssist in loading outbound truck and rail shipments.\nAssisting mill catching production.\nComplete pre-use inspections on equipment.\nOperate handheld scanner.\nCleaning as instructed & general housekeeping duties.\nInspect finished product per procedure.\nCrosstrain at next promotion level position. (Receive higher position job pay once fully trained and capable, when filling in at cross-trained position).\nFollow prescribed procedures and verbal instructions.\nYour Qualifications: \nHigh School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
