The Gerdau Whitby Shredder has been a part of the local community for over 60 years.\nWhat Gerdau Offers You:\nBelt Picker Hourly Rate: $23.82/hr\nPension: $3.55/hr worked paid by the Company (on top of hourly rate)\nBenefits: premiums paid by the Company\nLife insurance, AD&D, Medical & Dental, Vision\nOptional life insurances\nCorporate Discounts\nComPsych Guidance Resources Employee Assistance Program (EAP)\nAfternoon shift premium: $1.00/hr\nNight shift premium $1.30/hr\nOvertime opportunities\nVacation pay every pay cheque\nAdvancement opportunities\nAll Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is supplied and maintained by the Company.\nMain Responsibilities:\nHand pick items such as copper bearings, wire harnesses, rags, dirt, rubber, foam, etc. place into separate containers\nOperate and routine inspection of mobile equipment.\nMonitor and report operating condition of production equipment, as required.\nComplete and submit checklists or equipment care documents associated with assigned task(s)\nJob performed primarily in standing/static position\nRotating shiftwork\nWearing heavy clothing, as required and job appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)\nAssist in maintenance planned/unplanned tasks as required\nAssist in tasks to support production efficiencies and up time\nAssist with plant housekeeping efforts and perform other duties and work assignments as required and directed.
