Um einen zuverlässigen Empfang des Lichtsignals an der optischen Bodenstation zu gewährleisten, wird adaptive Optik eingesetzt. Sie erfasst die Wellenfrontaberrationen des einfallenden Lichts und korrigiert diese in Echtzeit.
