You will help embed a culture of financial ownership and data-driven decision-making throughout the organisation.\nThis is a role for a commercially minded finance leader who combines strong technical foundations with a hands-on mentality, embraces technology, and enjoys building processes, capabilities, and teams in a fast-growing international environment.\nYour profile\nAs Head of Finance, you will report to the CFO and lead the finance team, setting its priorities, developing its capabilities, and ensuring the function can support the next phase of Get-e’s growth.You will be a trusted business partner to the Leadership Team, working closely with departments including Sales, Customer Success, Operations, and other business stakeholders. You will ensure that financial reporting and analysis go beyond explaining historical results to actively influencing future performance.\nYou will take ownership of the end-to-end finance function, balancing reliable financial operations and compliance with forward-looking business control, technology-driven transformation, and strategic support.\nYou will be expected to lead through others while remaining hands-on where needed: from challenging commercial assumptions and building profitability models to improving workflows, implementing AI-enabled solutions, and resolving complex financial issues.\nResponsibilities\n1. Financial leadership and reporting\nLead the finance function and establish clear priorities, responsibilities, and performance standards for the team.\nOwn the monthly financial reporting cycle, management accounts, variance analysis, and budget control.\nEnsure an accurate, complete, and timely month-end close, supported by robust financial checks and internal controls.\nOversee the preparation of annual accounts, statutory reporting, and audit processes, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and regulatory requirements.\nOwn cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and financial planning to support the company's liquidity and growth.\nPartner with the CFO on financial strategy, business planning, risk management, and other strategic initiatives.\n2. Business control and commercial performanceDevelop and embed strong business control capabilities within the finance team, while personally leading key analyses and acting as a hands-on business controller.\nTake ownership of profitability analysis across customers, routes, products, services, and other relevant business segments.\nMonitor and challenge revenue, gross margin, contribution margin, EBITDA, and operational cost drivers.\nLead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning, ensuring financial plans reflect operational realities and commercial objectives.\nDevelop financial models and business cases to support pricing decisions, customer profitability, investments, resource allocation, and cost optimisation.\nTranslate financial and operational data into clear recommendations for the Leadership Team and relevant business stakeholders.\nEstablish and improve KPIs, performance dashboards, and reporting that connect operational activity to financial outcomes.\nProactively identify risks, opportunities, and performance deviations, working with business leaders to agree and implement corrective actions.\nBuild a culture of accountability in which teams understand the financial impact of their decisions and take ownership of business performance.\n3. AI, automation, and finance transformationDefine and drive the finance function's AI and automation agenda, identifying opportunities to improve productivity, scalability, accuracy, and control.\nApply AI practically across finance workflows, with a particular focus on procure-to-pay (P2P), accounts payable, invoice processing, transaction coding, reconciliations, financial checks, and month-end close.\nIdentify opportunities to automate repetitive manual activities, streamline approval workflows, reduce processing times, and improve the quality of financial data.\nEvaluate, test, and implement AI-enabled tools and solutions that deliver measurable business value, working with internal stakeholders and external providers where appropriate.\nRedesign finance processes to take advantage of automation and AI, rather than simply automating inefficient existing workflows.\nEstablish appropriate controls around AI usage, including data quality, access rights, confidentiality, human review, auditability, and compliance.\nTrack the impact of automation initiatives through measurable outcomes such as time saved, cost per transaction, processing accuracy, exception rates, and close-cycle duration.\nPromote an AI-first mindset within the finance team, ensuring colleagues actively identify and adopt new ways of working.\n4. Finance operations, systems, and controlsOwn and continuously improve the end-to-end finance operating model, ensuring processes remain efficient and scalable as the business grows.\nLead the ongoing optimisation and development of NetSuite, improving system configuration, data integrity, workflows, reporting, and financial controls.\nImprove the integration of financial and operational data to create a reliable source of truth for management reporting and decision-making.\nDevelop standard operating procedures and internal controls that support consistent execution, reduce errors, and strengthen the audit trail.\nDrive improvements across accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, reconciliations, and other core finance processes.\nWork with relevant teams to improve master data quality, transaction completeness, and the reliability of financial reporting.\nSupport the development of business intelligence capabilities and self-service reporting to improve visibility across the organisation.\n5. Team leadership and capability developmentLead, coach, and develop the finance team, creating a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and high performance.\nBuild the team's technical finance, commercial analysis, business control, data, and AI capabilities.\nEstablish clear roles, responsibilities, objectives, and development plans aligned with the evolving needs of the business.\nMove the team towards a proactive business partnering model, with less time spent on manual processing and more focus on analysis, insight, and value creation.\nIdentify capability gaps and implement practical solutions through coaching, training, process redesign, and recruitment where needed.\nSet a strong example by combining strategic leadership with hands-on problem-solving and execution.\nSkills and experienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.\nRelevant senior finance experience, ideally in a high-growth, international, technology-enabled, or scale-up environment.\nDemonstrated experience leading a finance function or a substantial part of one, with the ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on.\nStrong financial accounting knowledge, including month-end close, management reporting, annual accounts, audit, and internal controls.\nProven business control and commercial finance experience, including budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, financial modelling, and KPI development.\nStrong practical experience using AI and automation to improve finance processes, with the ability to identify use cases, implement solutions, and measure results.\nUnderstanding of procure-to-pay and other transactional finance workflows, including opportunities for automation and improved controls.\nExperience with ERP systems, ideally NetSuite, and a strong understanding of financial data flows and system controls.\nAdvanced Excel skills and experience with business intelligence, data analysis, or reporting tools.\nStrong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex financial and operational data into clear business recommendations.\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions constructively and influence senior decision-makers.\nExperience building, coaching, and developing a finance team, including strengthening its commercial and analytical capabilities.\nFluent in English; Dutch is a plus.\nA proactive, pragmatic, and commercially minded approach, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.\nA continuous improvement mindset and genuine enthusiasm for using technology to build a more efficient, insightful, and scalable finance function.\nWhy us?\nWhat’s in it for you?
