If you want to change how an entire profession works, you’ll fit in here.\nThe Role\nWe're looking for an Audit Engineer to serve as the bridge between our customers and our product.\nYou'll work directly with accounting firms as they evaluate, implement, and scale Clark across their teams. You'll develop a deep understanding of customer workflows, help firms adopt the platform successfully, and translate real-world audit challenges into product improvements.\nThis is a highly cross-functional role sitting at the intersection of customer success, implementation, product, and engineering. You'll partner closely with customers, our head of product, and engineers to ensure Clark solves the problems that matter most.\nWhy This Role Matters\nAs Clark grows, understanding customer workflows becomes one of our greatest competitive advantages.\nThe Audit Solutions team ensures that customer feedback is translated into better products, smoother implementations, and stronger long-term customer relationships.\nSuccess in this role directly improves customer adoption, accelerates implementation timelines, and helps shape the future direction of the product.\nWhat You'll Do\nLead customer workflow discovery during implementations\n\nServe as a trusted advisor to customers throughout onboarding and adoption\n\nRun weekly customer check-ins and manage ongoing communications\n\nSupport pilot engagements and new product rollouts\n\nTranslate customer pain points into actionable product feedback\n\nCreate and manage Linear issues for engineering teams, ensuring customer requests are tracked through resolution\n\nPartner with Product and Engineering to prioritize customer needs\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve implementation playbooks and internal processes\n\nHelp customers redesign workflows to take advantage of AI-powered automation\n\nBuild trusted relationships with audit partners, managers, and staff\n\nWho You Are\n5-10 years of audit or assurance experience\n\nCPA preferred\n\nExperience at a Big 4 or Top 25 accounting firm\n\nStrong understanding of audit methodology and client workflows\n\nExcellent communication and relationship-building skills\n\nHighly organized with exceptional project management abilities\n\nComfortable managing multiple customer engagements simultaneously\n\nCurious about technology and excited by AI's potential to transform audit\n\nHigh ownership mentality and comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment\n\nBonus\nExperience with audit technology or workflow automation tools\n\nExperience implementing enterprise software\n\nExposure to AI, data analytics, Alteryx, Power BI, SQL, or process automation\n\nExperience leading firm innovation or transformation initiatives\n\nPrior customer-facing, implementation, or consulting experience\n\nYou do not need prior startup experience, but you should be excited to work with urgency, embrace ambiguity, and help build the operating system of a growing company.\nThe Environment\n5 days a week on-site in NYC -
