It is small enough that everyone knows your name, with direct access to your team lead and to German and international customers.\nAbout the role\nThe platform at night, the customer by day: this role covers both.\nAs a German-speaking IT Operations / System Administrator, you keep business-critical server, application and platform environments running. You are also a trusted point of contact for the customer’s IT administrators, key users and service owners.\nYou will analyse and resolve incidents independently, coordinate escalations when specialist support is needed, and work with modern automation and AI-supported monitoring that helps spot and fix issues faster.\nThe client is building up its SAP operations right now. You don’t need SAP Basis experience on day one. You’ll start with monitoring and runbooks, move into operational tasks and, if you want it, into real Basis work: kernel and support-package updates, HANA topics and system changes. If you already bring SAP experience, you’ll shape how it’s done from the start.\nResponsibilities:\nAct as a trusted point of contact for customer IT administrators, key users and service owners.\n\nMonitor and support business-critical server, application and platform environments.\n\nAnalyse incidents, resolve technical issues independently and coordinate escalations when needed.\n\nHandle incidents, service requests and changes through the IT service management platform.\n\nWork with automation and AI-supported monitoring tools to detect and resolve issues faster.\n\nSupport the operation and monitoring of enterprise applications, including SAP environments.\n\nPerform maintenance, updates, patching and operational checks according to approved processes.\n\nCollaborate with Operations, Consulting and Engineering colleagues on customer projects and service improvements.\n\nDocument solutions, share knowledge and help improve services and automation.\n\nMaintain high service quality and compliance standards in regulated customer environments.\n\nQualifications:\nRequired\n2 years of experience in IT Support, Systems Administration or IT Operations.\n\nSolid knowledge of server operations on Windows or Linux.\n\nBasic understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure: TCP/IP, DNS, Active Directory and Windows Server environments.\n\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills, with a customer-oriented mindset.\n\nWillingness to learn new technologies.\n\nWillingness to work in a 24/7 shift model.\n\nGerman (C1) and English (B2).\n\nNice to have\nExperience with monitoring solutions and event or incident handling.\n\nExperience with public cloud, ideally Microsoft Azure.\n\nFamiliarity with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, SCCM / Intune.\n\nScripting in PowerShell or Bash.\n\nAbout the offer\nOur client offers a supportive setup and a clear path to grow:\nYou don’t carry 24/7 alone. Night shifts are shared across one team in Romania, Spain and Germany, with the German operations team and on-call behind you for escalations. Rosters are planned in advance, and night shifts can be worked from home.\n\nSAP skills, built with you. You go from monitoring to hands-on SAP Basis work at your own pace.\n\nAI and automation, learned on the job. You get a short course, practice on real events, a small work sample and a badge, all during working hours, not in your free time.\n\nYour side project becomes the operating model. If you build n8n workflows or work with coding agents, that goes into how the team actually works. The runbook you automate is the alert nobody gets woken up for again.\n\nA visible way forward. Internal roles such as Knowledge & Automation Engineer and AI Evaluation Engineer are filled from their own teams first.\n\nCertification support.
