You'll play a central role in keeping the business legally sound, moving quickly, and operating with integrity. This would be a great opportunity for a lawyer who wants to work on genuinely varied, interesting matters in a collaborative and supportive environment, with opportunities to learn and grow\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nCommercial and Contracts\nDraft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, partnership contracts, and customer terms\n\nAdvise business teams on contractual risk and help them make informed decisions quickly\n\nMaintain and improve GetGround's contract templates, playbooks, and standard terms\n\nSupport the management of external counsel on matters requiring specialist input\n\nProduct and Regulatory\nProvide legal input on new product features, customer journeys, and platform changes\n\nAdvise on FCA regulatory requirements as they apply to GetGround's products and services\n\nSupport compliance reviews of customer-facing content and regulated communications\n\nHelp track relevant regulatory developments and flag implications for the business\n\nCorporate and General Legal\nSupport on corporate matters including fundraising, corporate governance, and company secretarial work\n\nAdvise on data protection and privacy matters, including GDPR compliance\n\nProvide general legal support across the business on employment, IP, and operational matters\n\nHelp build scalable legal processes, templates, and training materials\n\nAbout You\nYou're a UK qualified solicitor with around 2+ years PQE and some in-house experience. You bring:\nA high level of attention to detail, and strong legal drafting skills\n\nStrong commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills, with an eye for detail\n\nA good understanding of digital law, the tech regulatory landscape and how regulation applies to fintech or financial services products\n\nIntellectual curiosity and the ability to learn and pick up new areas of law quickly\n\nA strong risk radar and commercial mindset, giving the business practical advice, not just legal analysis\n\nComfort working independently and owning your workload\n\nClear, concise communication skills, written and verbal and great stakeholder management skills\n\nA collaborative approach and genuine interest in the business, not just the legal matters\n\nHighly desirable:\nExperience with property, mortgage, or investment products\n\nIn-house experience at a fast-growing fintech\n\nExposure to data protection, GDPR, or privacy work\n\nWe know that great candidates don't always match every point on a job description.
