Job Overview
The Area Sales Manager - CVT is responsible for driving sales of the Cardiovascular product portfolio within a designated geographic territory in China. This role focuses on achieving order intake and revenue targets, building strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and hospital stakeholders, and executing go-to-market strategies at the local level.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
Sales Execution (50%)
- Achieve and exceed annual salesrevenue, and market share targets within the assigned territory.
- Develop and implement territory business plans aligned with national strategies.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and opportunity qualification to closing and post-sale support.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports on a monthly/ quarterlybasis.
Customer Relationship Management (25%)
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), cardiac surgeons, interventionalists, and hospital procurement departments.
- Act as the primary point of contact for major accounts within the territory.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Distributor & Channel Coordination (15%)
- Coordinate with authorized distributors to ensure effective coverage and penetration in secondary markets.
- Monitor distributor performance and provide coaching to distributor sales representatives.
- Ensure channel partners adhere to Getinge Code of Conduct and compliance policies.
Market Intelligence & Product Promotion (10%)
- Gather and report competitive intelligence, pricing trends, and tender outcomes.
- Organize and participate in local workshops, seminars, and trade shows to promote CVT products.
- Collaborate with Marketing to execute product launches and clinical training sessions.
- Other job assigned by the line manager.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Junior college degree or above,Medicine, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or related fieldsis preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3years of medical device sales experience, with a proven track record in the Cardiovascular or Interventional segments.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to analyze market data and identify growth opportunities within the territory.
- Capable of translating company objectives into actionable sales activities.
- Strong customer orientation and ability to build trust with senior clinicians.
- Resilience and persistence in overcoming objections and market access barriers (tenders/pricing).
- Strict adherence to compliance and ethical business practices.
- Fluency in Mandarin; professional working proficiency in English is preferred.
