You just found it.\nJob Overview\nThe Associate Project Manager provides project management support and oversight for initiatives requiring cross-functional coordination, structured execution, visibility, and timely escalation.\nThe role supports portfolio prioritization and project execution across Electrical and Mechanical Sustaining Engineering and manages selected sustaining projects and workstreams. The role also manages assigned Quality, Regulatory and Compliance (QRC) and Regulatory Affairs projects or workstreams, while functional subject-matter experts retain accountability for technical, quality, regulatory, and compliance content and decisions. The Associate Project Manager may also support targeted, management-approved process improvement initiatives based on business priorities and available capacity. The role works within established project and portfolio management processes and receives coaching and guidance from Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, and management as appropriate.\nJob Responsibilities and Essential Duties\nProject Management (for assigned projects and workstreams)\nWork with project leads and cross-functional teams to define project objectives, scope, deliverables, milestones, functional ownership, and completion criteria.\nDevelop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, action items, risks, dependencies, decisions, and required project documentation.\nCoordinate cross-functional project activities and follow up with team members to support completion of assigned actions and deliverables.\nFacilitate project meetings, document decisions and actions, and maintain clear ownership and follow-through.\nMonitor progress against project plans and identify potential schedule delays, risks, dependencies, resource constraints, and other execution issues. Help maintain risk and issue logs and appropriate follow ups.\nPrepare and communicate project status updates to project teams, sponsors, and management, creating dashboards, as appropriate.\nEscalate issues that may affect project scope, schedule, resources, compliance, dependencies, or deliverables.\nSupport resolution of routine project execution issues and engage appropriate functional or project leadership when additional guidance or decisions are required.\nSupport projects through implementation, closure, lessons learned, and transition to the appropriate functional owner.\nMaintain accurate and timely project information, including resource and budget, in established project and portfolio management systems\nSustaining Engineering\nMaintain portfolio visibility across Electrical and Mechanical Sustaining Engineering, including project priorities, schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, and resource needs.\nSupport portfolio prioritization and review discussions by providing accurate project information and highlighting potential conflicts, dependencies, and resource constraints.\nCoordinate and track actions and decisions resulting from portfolio reviews.\nProject manage selected Sustaining Engineering projects or workstreams based on project size, complexity, risk, and business need.\nEscalate significant prioritization conflicts, resource constraints, schedule risks, or other issues requiring management attention.\nQRC and Regulatory Affairs\nManage assigned QRC and Regulatory Affairs projects or defined workstreams, including project planning, scheduling, action tracking, risk and dependency management, meeting coordination, and status reporting.\nCoordinate activities across participating functions and follow up on agreed actions and deliverables.\nMonitor project progress and escalate risks, delays, dependencies, or issues that could affect project objectives or timelines.\nWork closely with functional subject-matter experts, who retain accountability for technical, quality, regulatory, and compliance content and decisions.\nProcess Improvement\nSupport management-approved process improvement initiatives that address defined business needs, based on organizational priorities and available capacity.\nSupport improvements to project management tools, templates, reporting, and ways of working\n\nMinimum Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Project Management, scientific discipline, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\nMinimum of 2 years of combined professional, internship, or co-op experience coordinating or managing project workstreams and cross-functional initiatives in a corporate or matrixed environment.\nExperience with project planning, schedule and action tracking, status reporting, stakeholder coordination, and follow-up.\nExperience working in a corporate, technical, or matrixed environment preferred.\nExperience in the medical device industry or another regulated industry preferred.\nAbility to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\nWorking knowledge of basic project management principles, including scope, schedules, milestones, actions, risks, issues, dependencies, and status reporting.\nFamiliarity with project and portfolio management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Antura, Power BI, or comparable tools, a plus.\nAbility to develop and maintain project schedules, action logs, risk and issue tracking, and project status reports.\nAbility to coordinate multiple project activities and follow up effectively on commitments and deliverables.\nAbility to facilitate project and cross-functional meetings and establish clear ownership of actions and next steps.\nAbility to identify project risks, issues, dependencies, and potential schedule impacts and escalate them appropriately.\nAbility to work effectively with stakeholders across functions in a matrixed organization.\nStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple priorities.\nAbility to work independently on defined assignments while recognizing when guidance, decisions, or escalation are required.\nStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.\nResults-oriented with demonstrated ability to complete assignments and follow through on commitments according to established schedules.\nPMP certification a plus\nSalary range: $96k - $99k, 8% STIP\nAbout us\nWith a firm belief that every person and community should have access to the best possible care, Getinge provides hospitals and life science institutions with products and solutions aiming to improve clinical results and optimize workflows.
