You just found it.\nJob Title: Field Service Engineer\nLocation: Field-based, covering South East UK including London\nWe are looking for a dedicated Field Service Engineer to contribute towards our ACT and SWP service team across the South East with the ideal candidate being based west side of central london.\nGetinge is a well-respected Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), saving lives through the manufacture and maintenance of a range of medical devices and solutions. Our Service Team is at the forefront of our business, responsible for routine servicing. testing and repairing of our equipment in hospitals and facilities throughout the UK and Ireland.\nYou will have the opportunity to make a difference by utilising your technical knowledge and skills to ensure the smooth operation of our machines in the field, representing the business and building relationships with customers and colleagues to deliver the best possible service.\nThis is a field-based role and you will need to be a self-starter with experience of managing your own workload. Although you will be mostly working independently, you will be supported by regular contact with the Service Office, Service Managers and our Technical Services Department which has direct access to Getinge manufacturing sites and a wealth of technical know-how and expertise.\nThe successful candidate will have a background and relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering. Comprehensive training on Getinge’s equipment will be provided by our dedicated in-house training team. Through our Career Progression Pathway, all Engineers have their development assessed bi-annually against our bespoke Engineer competency-based banding structure - meaning that the more you learn and develop, the more you will be rewarded.\nDay to day responsibilities will include:\nDealing with customers, demonstrating first class interpersonal skills in a courteous and professional manner at all times\nCarrying out routine testing of Getinge equipment to the relevant standards and undertaking mechanical servicing of equipment\nProblem solving, combining initiative with a practical and logical approach to all aspects of the job\nElectrical / mechanical fault finding of equipment\nCalibration of equipment, where necessary, reporting all faulty equipment or equipment out of calibration to the Line Manager\nMaintaining and monitoring adequate stock levels of spare parts in order to be able to respond to call-outs in a timely manner\nProducing quality service documentation for submission to the customer\nMaintaining regular communication with the internal Service Department, Technical Department and Service Managers.\nFollowing the correct returns and non-conformance report procedures at all times\nOrganising and prioritising a continuously changing workload, ensuring that all customers’ calls and enquiries are responded to quickly and effectively\nProducing accurate and timely written/electronic reports, as and when required/requested.\nProviding Validation reports in specified time frames.\nAssisting team members as and when required/requested.\nProviding sales leads to relevant Service/Sales Managers\nObserving and complying with Quality System duties and responsibilities at all times\nObserving and complying with company and on-site Health & Safety requirements at all times\nWho you are:\nAt Getinge, we are looking for passionate individuals, who are agile, resilient, take responsibility for their development and focus on achieving excellence.
