You need to design and deliver core messaging services, secure authentication/authorization integrations, service-to-service connectivity patterns, and reliable deployment and operations. This role is hands-on and cross-functional. You will work across C++, Java, Go, and Node.js. Partner with identity, infrastructure, and application teams to set high standards for performance, reliability, and maintainability. You’ll have a large impact on the success of the entire organization.\nWhat You'll Do:- \nBachelor’s degree, or higher, in Computer Science or a related technical field\n\n3-5 years of building backend/platform software with modern C++ (C++17 and above)\n\nBuilt services using messaging/streaming systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ etc)\n\nStrong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker and Kubernetes.\n\nProvide timely support for production issues.\n\nWhat We're Looking For:-\nBuild and operate core messaging capabilities on Apache Pulsar and related technologies.\n\nDevelop a C++-based internal product and shared libraries with emphasis on performance, resilience, and clean interfaces.\n\nDefine and implement cross-language integrations and SDKs (C++, Java, Go, Node.js); establish versioned APIs and schema governance (e.g., AsyncAPI/OpenAPI, Avro/Protobuf).\n\nImprove Linux-based development and operational workflows: builds (CMake/Bazel), packaging, containerization, and performance tuning.\n\nAutomate deployments and releases with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., GitHub Actions/Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform/Ansible).\n\nDocument designs, review code, mentor peers, and collaborate closely with stakeholders.\n\nDesired Attributes:-\nStrong understanding of concurrency, networking, memory, and performance.\n\nHands-on experience with Apache Pulsar or similar messaging/streaming systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS), including pub/sub, partitions, ordering, idempotency, and delivery semantics.\n\nComfortable working across languages (C++, Java, Go, Node.js) and designing cross-language APIs/SDKs.\n\nStrong Linux fundamentals for development, debugging, and operations; scripting proficiency (Bash/Python).\n\nExperience with CI/CD, containers (Docker), and Kubernetes fundamentals; sound understanding of secure deployment practices.\n\nClear communication, ownership mentality, and ability to drive work from design through production.\n\nCompany Overview:\nFactSet (NYSE:FDS| NASDAQ:FDS) helps the financial community to see more, think bigger, and work better.
