We are building the identity verification and account protection layer companies use to answer that question quickly, securely, and with less friction for real users.\nThe Role\nWe are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to build the integrations that put Nametag inside the systems our customers already use.\nNametag is rarely the application someone opens. It's the identity check that happens inside a helpdesk ticket, an HR onboarding flow, or a Slack message from someone claiming to be the CFO. Our reach is determined by how well we embed into Workday, ServiceNow, Slack, Okta, ICIMS, UKG, and the long tail behind them - and that embedding is engineering work.\nThis is a full stack role with an unusual center of gravity. You'll write backend services and APIs on our side, configuration and setup experiences in our console, and the connector code that talks to a dozen platforms that each made different decisions about authentication, extensibility, and what a webhook means. You'll join a dedicated team whose purpose is expanding Nametag into new systems and new use cases.\nWhat makes this work interesting is that you're building into environments you don't control and can't change. Every target platform has its own auth model, its own rate limits, its own review process, and its own idea of how much UI you're allowed. Workday's extensibility surface is narrow and governed. Slack gives you modals and Block Kit, which were not designed for identity verification. ServiceNow gives you enough rope to break a customer's upgrade path. Designing something that is secure, usable, and actually buildable inside those limits - and that keeps working when the vendor ships a change you didn't ask for - is the core of the job.\nThe breadth is real. You'll be reading someone else's API documentation most weeks, and debugging behavior that documentation doesn't describe. Engineers who like going deep on one system for a year will be unhappy here. Engineers who like landing in an unfamiliar platform and having it figured out by Thursday will do well.\nYou'll work closely with the product manager for integrations, who owns how each integration should work, and you'll have real influence over that design because you're the one who knows what the platform will actually permit.\nWhat You'll Do\nBuild integrations end to end\nDesign and build connectors into third-party enterprise platforms: authentication, data flow, event handling, and the verification experience inside the host application.\nBuild the Nametag-side APIs, services, and webhooks each integration depends on.\nBuild the console configuration and setup experience customers use to install and operate the integration.\nTake integrations through marketplace and app review processes, including the requirements that gate a listing.\nWork across unfamiliar platforms\nGet productive fast in APIs and extensibility models you haven't seen before, and develop real expertise in the ones that matter most.\nImplement against OAuth, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, and whatever a given platform does instead of those.\nHandle the operational reality of depending on other people's systems: rate limits, partial outages, breaking changes, and undocumented behavior.\nOwn reliability across the fleet\nOperate what you build. Integrations fail in production in ways that are specific to one customer's configuration, and you'll be the one who figures out why.\nBuild the observability that makes a broken integration visible to us before it's visible to the customer.\nDesign for versioning and backwards compatibility. Customers do not upgrade on your schedule.\nMake each one faster than the last\nFactor shared infrastructure out of individual connectors so common patterns stop being rebuilt.\nContribute to the tooling, scaffolding, and templates that shorten time to first working integration.\nDocument how each integration works well enough that support and solutions engineers can operate without you.\nWhat We're Looking For\nWork authorization required: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future need for visa sponsorship.\nYou do not need to match every bullet. We care most about breadth, pragmatism, and comfort working against systems you don't control.\n4+ years building and operating production software, including backend services and APIs.\nDemonstrated experience integrating with third-party APIs in production - not a one-off script, but something you owned and kept running.\nStrong backend skills in Go, Node.js, Python, Java, or similar, plus enough frontend ability to build configuration and setup UI in React or a comparable framework.\nWorking knowledge of OAuth, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, webhooks, and the failure modes each brings.\nRelational database experience, PostgreSQL preferred.\nCloud experience, AWS preferred.\nThe temperament for integration work: patience with other people's documentation, and the instinct to verify rather than trust it.\nClear communication and good judgment in a remote, cross-functional team.\nBonus Points\nHands-on experience with Workday, ServiceNow, Slack, Okta, Entra, ICIMS, or UKG extensibility specifically.\nExperience shipping an app through a marketplace or app review process.\nExperience with identity, authentication, account recovery, fraud prevention, or compliance-heavy products.\nExperience building an integration platform or connector framework rather than individual integrations.\nExperience in a solutions engineering, professional services, or customer-facing engineering role.\nWhat We Value\nHigh ownership. You see what needs doing and do it.\nTechnical judgment. You make systems simpler, safer, and easier to operate.\nSpeed with care. We move quickly because attackers move quickly, but we do not cut corners on trust or security.\n Kindness and integrity. Trust starts with how we work with each other.\nCompensation\nNametag is a founding member of the Open Imperative and is committed to pay equity in technology. Final compensation is based on role, level, skills, experience, and education. Your recruiter or hiring manager can share more during the process.\nCulture and Benefits\nNametag is a remote-first team with regular in-person time to stay connected.\nRemote-first, US-based team\nQuarterly team offsites\nFlexible schedules\nMeaningful equity ownership\nComprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits\nFlexible paid time off\nNew computer hardware and equipment","description_format":"text","description_chars":6819,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":4,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Equity","Flexible schedule"],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"United States","iso":"US","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Fraud Detection","Identity Management","Information Security"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-03T08:14:26Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":90,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.903,"p_room":1,"age_days":2,"expected_fill_days":28,"reasons":["conf:0","velocity","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-10-05T05:45:15Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/getnametag-full-stack-engineer-integrations","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/getnametag-full-stack-engineer-integrations.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-06T02:43:23Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":4104,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":896,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-07T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":10519},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=10519"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fgetnametag-full-stack-engineer-integrations"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fgetnametag-full-stack-engineer-integrations"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fgetnametag-full-stack-engineer-integrations"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/getnametag-full-stack-engineer-integrations\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fgetnametag-full-stack-engineer-integrations"}]}
