This opportunity will remain online based on business needs which may be before or after the specified date.\nThis role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.\nRole Description\n\nWith the gFiber team, you’ll work on cross-product and cross-team initiatives, working closely with a cross-functional team to plan, execute, and deliver projects, as well as deploy new technologies to local markets and surrounding communities. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day operations, milestone tracking, and completion of projects related to the construction of our OSP FTTH network. You will be responsible for everything that happens downstream of Engineering/Permitting including pre-construction planning, construction execution/sequencing, and splicing/testing for project turnover and acceptance to downstream stakeholders.\n\nIn this role, you’ll:\n\nQuality Management - ensure projects are built according to approved engineering design plans, Google Fiber Standards & Spec, in adherence to current contract SOW’s, and aligned with municipal expectations/requirements. Foster an open, transparent, and cross-discipline change management process when deviations are necessary during build execution.\nProject Management -manage project pipelines, budgets, scheduling, resource/activity planning, activity sequencing/prioritization, vendor performance tracking, project dependency awareness, financial reporting, invoice approval, and material management.\nVendor Management - develop, manage, maintain, and drive the Vendor construction schedule as a partner. Ensures project milestones and delivery dates are aligned with business commitments and work mitigating solutions to risks that arise.\nClearly communicate expectations and project status effectively/concisely. Work with internal/external stakeholders to ensure that projects are scoped properly and handed off seamlessly for network acceptance. \nBe able to work autonomously with minimal guidance and supervision. Be comfortable standing up a new program geographical area with limited onsite support. \nComfortable with converting conceptual market deliverables to specific action steps and assigning roles & responsibilities to support Teams.\n\nAt a minimum, we would like you to have:\n\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.\n4 years of Program/Project Management experience within large scope, capital intensive, technical scopes of work.\n4 years of Vendor Management experience directly managing vendor resources, performance management, and accountability for project-based deliveries.\n4 years experience scheduling projects, capital tracking/forecasting, reporting project status and costs versus commitments, and providing insights/ influence to commercial terms with contractors and vendors. \nExperience managing capital, operational and technical programs.\n\nIt’s preferred that you have:\n\nPMP, PgMP or other project management certification.\n7 years of Project/Program Management experience.\n7 years of experience in a Vendor Management role. \nExperience managing telecommunication infrastructure, Fiber to the Home/Plant (FTTx) operations and/or outside plant (OSP) projects.\nDemonstrated ability to employ quality troubleshooting skills and creative problem solving abilities under pressure.\n\nThe US base salary range for this full-time position is between $113,000 - $138,000 + bonus + benefits.
