In this key leadership position, you will oversee maintenance operations, manage fleet performance, and ensure our modern fleet supports company standards for reliability and safety.\nWhy GFL:\nCompetitive Pay: Individual pay is determined by responsibilities, experience, and location.\nComprehensive Health Benefits: Full employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family.\nRetirement Savings: Company-matching RRSP/DPSP program to secure your financial future.\nModern Fleet & Gear: Work out of safe, modern yards with well-maintained trucks, new equipment, and industry-leading diagnostic tools.\nNationwide Career Growth: Clear pathways for advancement across GFL’s growing national network.\n Employee Support: Full access to our confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP).\nGreen for Life Perks: Exclusive employee discount programs, perks, and team recognition initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities:\nTeam Supervision: Supervise and direct the members of the maintenance team within the location, setting goals, targets, and managing accordingly.\nPreventive Maintenance: Follow the schedule of preventive maintenance and annual inspections.\nFleet Analysis: Analyze the fleet and make suggestions for improvements or purchases.\nSubcontractor & Repair Oversight: Assume responsibility for the approval and payment of any repairs on the company’s equipment that must be performed by subcontractors while keeping in contact with the District Manager.\nBudgeting & Operations: Work with Operations in the development and administration of the budget for maintenance and replacement of the equipment.\nCompliance & Regulations: Responsible for keeping equipment in compliance with company policies and regulations.\nHealth & Safety: Ensure the health and safety of employees.\nReporting: Complete weekly reports.\nCost Management: Establish various management tools to improve cost management.\nStaff Training: Ensure the training of the staff.\nAdditional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.\nKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:\nEducation & Experience: Post-secondary education, bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or 3 years of relevant work experience.\nLicensing: Current Mechanic’s license and valid Driver’s License.\nSoftware Knowledge: Knowledge of Microsoft software along with Trux, Ariett, GP and M5, or Dossier.\nCommunication & Organization: Excellent communication skills, management priorities, and good organizational skills.\nFinancial Acumen: Knowledge of financial statements and general understanding of the department’s contributions to monthly financial statements.\nInterpersonal Skills: Ability to deal with all levels of management; tactfully dispenses direct and actionable feedback and is open and direct with others.\nWork Ethic: Ability to work under pressure.\nDesignation: Maintenance Management Professional designation is considered an asset.\n#GFLTalen t\nWe thank you for your interest.
