This individual will provide leadership which results in positive employee/employer relations and a professional corporate image.Key Responsibilities:Personnel\nEnsure fair treatment of all personnel.\nEstablish and maintain high appearance standards throughout all operations.\nPractice progressive discipline with all employee performance issues.\nEnsure proper completion of paperwork for drivers including truck reports, driver logs and vehicle inspections daily.\nConduct an annual review on each employee's job performance evaluation and approve any changes to an employee's compensation.\nAdhere to all wage and hour guidelines.\nOperations\nEstablish priorities to meet customer service commitments.\nDirect collection and disposal services to best utilize personnel and equipment.\nEstablish and review productivity standards at each phase of the operation.\nProtect and preserve all assets.\nEnsure all drivers are DOT compliant.\nBe familiar with and ensure compliance with all DOT regulations.\nEnter appropriate product line data into Tower on a daily basis as needed.\nAssist in the completion of scheduled route audits.\nFinancial\nAssist in development and execution of an operation profit plan that includes:\nRevenue retention & growth\nCost of operations\nGrowth objectives\nProductivity standards\nCapital Requirements:\nPersonnel needed\nEnsure Branch profit margins are met\nSafety\nPromote an effective safety program that seeks to prevent accidents, avoid injuries and recognize safe employees.\nInvestigate accidents and prepare necessary paperwork.\nEnsure route observations are completed on a routine basis.\nSchedule, plan, and conduct safety meetings (monthly).\nAdditional Responsibilities\nRecruit, interview, hire, train and discipline all product line personnel.\nEnsure all employees are dressed in the proper uniform provided by GFL Environmental.\nConform in all respects with applicable laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors.\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.\nRequirements:\nBA or BS Degree desired or equivalent experience.\n2-3 years experience in waste industry desired.\nMust be able to meet relevant criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards\nMay require Commercial Driver's License\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nProven leadership and communication skills.\nPhysical/Mental Demands:\nAbility to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear and climb.\nVisual Requirements: include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.\nWorking Conditions:\nWork in office environment 80% of the time.\nNoise level is usually moderate.\nWork in motor vehicle traffic conditions occasionally\n• Some travel required.\nWe thank you for your interest.
