We believe that, by providing safe, accessible and cost-effective solutions, we encourage greater environmental responsibility and allow our customers and the communities we serve to be Green For Life.\nThe Role\nThe HR Business Partner will manage the employment process in assigned area to include employee relations, HR policy and programs, compensation administration, career development, performance management, and organizational planning. Partner with the Area and Division Management teams relating to all employment programs to increase the area(s)/division(s) effectiveness\nKey Responsibilities:\nKnowledge of applicable laws, codes, rules and regulations including laws relating to employment.\nOversee employee relations for the division including performance management, termination, conflict resolution, and employee investigations. Act as a coach for managers and employees.\nTravel to branch locations to attend to and resolve employee related issues.\nPartner with Corporate, Area and Division Management in the design and implementation of HR programs that support business direction and HR strategy as assigned by the VP of HR.\nManage training delivery throughout the assigned area and facilitate training programs.\nCreate, communicate and interpret policies and procedures for employees and managers.\nKnowledge of Company sponsored benefits programs to assist in communication to employees.\nAdvise managers and supervisors of legal situations regarding disciplining, terminating, hiring and promoting employees and other human resource issues.\nProvide feedback on employee morale to the VP of HR and field Management.\nAct as mediator, counselor and facilitator in arbitrating disputes between employees and their managers/supervisors.\nAdminister Affirmative Action program throughout the division and counsel managers on how to meet the corporate expectations relating to affirmative action.\nProvide due diligence in any mergers & acquisitions throughout the Company by providing feedback related to Company culture, employment, benefits and other related issues.\nProvide guidance to one or more HR Representatives on all employment issues relating to branch and division managers and employees.\nConform in all respects with applicable laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all Company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors.\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management\n What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)\nA bachelor's degree and seven (7) years of human resource experience\nExperience in HR field with knowledge of laws and regulations\nCertification in Human Resources (PHR or SPHR) or master’s degree in HR- preferred but not required\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Power Point\nGeneralist knowledge with broad background of employment, employee relations, benefits and training\nAbility to write correspondence to employees, management and vendors via internal and external memorandums and reports\nAbility to follow instructions and work under limited supervision and heavy deadlines\nExcellent communication skills with attention to detail\nAbility to multi-task\nAbility to supervise others in remote locations and provide positive leadership and guidance\nPhysical/Mental Demands:\nAbility to handle heavy telephone call volume\nAbility to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear. • Possess ability to regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds and lift/move up to 20 pounds occasionally.\nWorking Conditions:\nNoise level is moderate.\nWork in indoor office environment 75% of the time.\nTravel often to branch locations via automobile and airplane.
