Utilizing creative internal and external sourcing methods, you will identify, screen, and recommend top-tier talent for a diverse range of branches and business lines.\nThis role offers an exciting opportunity to gain exposure in Field Recruitment, directly supporting the scaling of our frontline business operations across both provinces. Occasional travel will be required.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage full cycle recruiting by partnering with field operations leadership to forecast and determine staffing needs.\nReview and qualify resumes against role requirements, conducting preliminary phone interviews to assess cultural and technical fit. \nFacilitate and schedule phone, virtual, and in-person interviews between top talent and hiring teams. \nAssist with candidate assessments, conduct reference checks, make hiring recommendations, and extend formal offer letters while clearly explaining compensation, benefits, and agreements.\nDesign innovative sourcing strategies and build robust talent pipelines utilizing both traditional and non-traditional channels (e.g., career fairs, online networking, and community networking events). \nBuild and maintain strategic partnerships with colleges, universities, and external organizations to drive diverse talent pipelines. \nCreate, update, and standardize ad-hoc recruitment documentation to streamline the hiring lifecycle. \nOwn and oversee end-to-end recruitment projects from inception to successful completion. \nSupport the HR team with the internal employee transfer process. \nProactively follow up with candidates and hiring managers to gather feedback, ensuring a continuous improvement of the recruitment and selection process. \nDevelop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to successfully achieve organizational staffing goals. \nWork with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations within your region.\nConsult and advise hiring managers on recruitment best practices, interview techniques, and talent trends. \nManage candidate activity in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Workday.\nManage application/resume file and retention according to company policy.\nExecute other recruitment and HR-related responsibilities as required to support business needs. \nEducation, Qualifications and Experience\nBachelor’s degree, diploma or certification in Human Resources or a related field preferred.\n1-3 years of hands-on experience managing the full-cycle recruitment process. \nPrior experience with Workday ATS is considered an asset.\nAbility to travel as required.\nA valid Drivers License is preferred. \nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nSolid foundational knowledge of employment standards and best practices.\nStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with external candidates and internal teams.\nHighly flexible with the ability to manage relationships at all levels of a diverse organization with a variety of personalities.\nStrong time management skills with the ability to manage a load of competing priorities under pressure and within respective deadlines.\nAbility to work under limited supervision and with tight deadlines.\nExceptional verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to write professional correspondence to employees, management, and vendors via internal and external communications.\nAbility to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.\nAttention to detail in all areas of work.\nStrong moral and ethical judgement in decision making, along with a commitment to maintaining privacy and confidentiality.\nAble to work effectively as a part of a team as well as independently.\nWhy Join GFL?\nBuild your career with one of the fastest growing environmental services leaders in North America.\nCompetitive compensation package with a company-matched RRSP program to support your financial future. \nIndustry leading health, dental, vision and mental health benefits-with premiums fully covered by GFL. \nA balanced hybrid model with real flexibility.\nAccess to Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) for you and your family.\nPaid training, professional development, and advancement opportunities.\nA positive, collaborative work culture that invests in your success.\nWe thank you for your interest.
